Pharmacy Floor Technician – Contract to Hire

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Employment Type: Contract to Hire 

Location: Katy, TX (Active TX Pharmacy Technician License required)

Alternating weeks

Week one will be opening from 8am to 5pm.

Week two will be closing from 11am to 8:30pm.

And every other weekend 8am to 5pm.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team in a fast‑paced, production‑focused pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate will support daily pharmacy operations by accurately picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision

• Process returned medications and manage recycling/disposal per established procedures

• Pre‑pack frequently ordered medications, label, and store during low‑volume periods

• Manually package materials and products

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and storage areas

• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy

• Notify the pharmacist of any product that does not scan properly

• Maintain workstation cleanliness and restock supplies as needed

• Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA

• Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code

• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Clear and Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience
