Processes prior authorization requests from physicians offices and ensures compliance with Medicare requirements; informs relevant parties of all prior authorization determinations. Provides resolution to grievances and appeals issues. Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits. Generates reports relating to rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other ad hoc reports. Maintains record keeping of prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reports. Minimum Requirements: Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States. Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Pharmacy Technician Career Opportunity

This is a PRN position looking for coverage every other weekend as needed 8am- 3pm

We are also looking for a Pharmacy Intern (a currently enrolled student in a Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD program) who also holds a Certified Pharmacy Tech license. Will work 8am- 3pm every other weekend. Will assist with medication counseling and other clinical tasks.

Become the Pharmacy Tech you always wanted to be

  • Maintain inventory control, ensuring proper management and storage of medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform medication replacements, including daily filling of med dispense machines with a 24-hour supply using a unit-dose system.
  • Manage paperwork and reports related to various pharmacy activities, including records relating to medication carts, compounding logs, drug inspection, and more.

Qualifications

  • Certification and Registration as a Pharmacy Technician as required by the state.
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.
