All tier 2 technicians will demonstrate mastery of ordering and control of stock, selection of drug product, nonsterile drug preparation, controlled substance handling and pharmacy automated systems. Retail Tier 2 technicians will also show proficiency in inventory management, PA processing and any other site specific programs. Requirements: 18 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent State of Wisconsin registration PTCB-recognized education/training program OR 500 hours of equivalent work experience to achieve required CPhT certification. Completion of a six-month formal training program in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices - OR - six months of work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices. One year of work experience comparable to that gained at the Pharmacy Tier 1 level preferred.
