As a Pharmacy Manager under the direction of the CPS Area/Director of Pharmacy at NCH Baker Downtown Hospital you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will assist with the security of the pharmacies and controlled substances, assist in recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff, ensure all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met, ensure provision of optimal services, and oversee pharmacy personnel to enhance clinical and financial performance. This role may also include minimal staffing responsibilities based upon business needs. This role will assist the Health-system Director of Pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy manager in the planning and design of pharmacy services in several current and future projects that are ongoing, including the building of the new NCH/HSS orthopedic surgery center, new out patient infusion services center (OPIS), and the new NCH Heart, Vascular, and Stroke Institute. Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, however, hours may vary, and can be long and irregular to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. About the Facility: Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) is Joint Commission accredited, locally governed non-profit healthcare system located in Naples, FL. NCH Baker Downtown has 592 beds and includes an Emergency Department, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics, Palliative Care, Primary Care, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Cardiac Care, Stroke and Vascular care. Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services Knowledge of, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology, such as Omnicell cabinets, Omnicell software, medication carousels, and Epic order entry software Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees Leadership, administrative, human resource, and managerial skills required Business acumen including profit/loss understanding, budgeting, , inventory optimization, and GPO function Effective verbal and written communication skills. As a Pharmacy Manager under the direction of the CPS Area/Director of Pharmacy at NCH Baker Downtown Hospital you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. You will assist with the security of the pharmacies and controlled substances, assist in recruitment and hiring of pharmacy staff, ensure all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements are being met, ensure provision of optimal services, and oversee pharmacy personnel to enhance clinical and financial performance.

This role may also include minimal staffing responsibilities based upon business needs. This role will assist the Health-system Director of Pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy manager in the planning and design of pharmacy services in several current and future projects that are ongoing, including the building of the new NCH/HSS orthopedic surgery center, new out patient infusion services center (OPIS), and the new NCH Heart, Vascular, and Stroke Institute.

Schedule: This position works at least 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, however, hours may vary, and can be long and irregular to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

About the Facility: Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) is Joint Commission accredited, locally governed non-profit healthcare system located in Naples, FL. NCH Baker Downtown has 592 beds and includes an Emergency Department, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics, Palliative Care, Primary Care, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Cardiac Care, Stroke and Vascular care.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services
  • Knowledge of, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics
  • Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology, such as Omnicell cabinets, Omnicell software, medication carousels, and Epic order entry software
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees
  • Leadership, administrative, human resource, and managerial skills required
  • Business acumen including profit/loss understanding, budgeting, , inventory optimization, and GPO function
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. The Director of Pharmacy will play an integral part in leading daily department huddles, and the pharmacy shared governance committee

Required Qualifications:
