Requirements

Educational Requirements

1. New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education
2. • Certification may be for specific grade levels (e.g., Birth-Grade 2, Grades 1-6, or Grades 7-12).
   • Must be in good standing with the NYS Department of Education.
   • Typically includes credentials such as:

Experience

1. Teaching or Tutoring Experience

4. • Experience with specific disabilities (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
