Tutor Jobs 2026 (Now Hiring) – Smart Auto Apply

Position Summary: Provide content tutoring primarily in chemistry to a diverse student population with varied academic needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Tutor students in the chemistry sequence, including general chemistry, biochemistry and organic chemistry
• Work with students in person and through online platforms
• Collaborate with faculty to incorporate course-specific learning outcomes during tutoring sessions
• Help students identify their own individual strengths and skills in order to make study plans, establish academic goals, and maximize the student's potential
• Participate in outreach activities and campus events
• Assist in the maintenance and evaluation of tutoring materials and services
• Collaborate as a team member of the Student Success Center (SSC)
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science required, Master's degree preferred
• Experience with college level tutoring
• Experience with tutoring via on-line delivery/distance learning strongly preferred
• Ability to tutor entry level biology strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with students one-on-one, in class, and in small group formats
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working with underrepresented students and students from at-risk backgrounds
• Experience and understanding of current issues and developments in higher education
• Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Mount Mary students, employees, and alumnae
• Exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize projects
