Sylvan Learning is the industry leader in providing supplemental education to children in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. We are currently looking for part-time tutors. As a part-time Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group setting. What You’ll Do As a Math Tutor, you’ll create a fun, engaging learning environment, working with up to 4 students at a time in our after school tutoring program. Your responsibilities include: Delivering personalized math instruction (Kindergarten through Pre-Algebra, with opportunities for Algebra Tutor, Geometry Tutor, or Calculus Tutor roles) using Mathnasium’s Socratic teaching method and interactive tools. What We Need Math Proficiency: Strong skills through Algebra I; Geometry or Calculus knowledge preferred for test prep tutoring (SAT/ACT).
