What You Will Do: Student Guidance: Provide one-on-one instruction to students based on their individualized learning plans and abilities. Customized Instruction: Design and deliver instructions that tailored to each student's pace and progress. Motivation: Encourage and motivate K-8 students to complete assignments and achieve their learning goals. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track students' progress, adjusting their learning plans as needed. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to students to help them understand their mistakes and improve their performance. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, updating them on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Admin Tasks: Keep accurate records of students' assignments, progress, and attendance. How You Can Be Qualified: Educational Background: A strong foundation in mathematics, typically with at least a high school diploma or equivalent. A background in education is often preferred but not always required. Patience: Ability to work patiently with students of varying ages and skill levels. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to explain concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple students and their individual learning plans. Passion for Teaching: A genuine interest in helping students learn and improve their academic skills. Flexibility: Adaptability to work with students at different levels and adjust teaching methods as necessary. Reliability: Consistency in attendance and commitment to the role. Working Schedule: The ideal working schedule for a tutor is 2-4 days per week with 3 hour shifts each day. (If you have more availability and are willing to work more shifts, we can offer additional shifts!) Our classes are from Monday-Saturday.
