Academic Tutor Responsibilities Tutors work one-on-one and in small groups with high school students to help them prepare for and succeed in their classes. If you're a college student or a recent graduate, this would be an ideal position, but we will consider all backgrounds. We teach in a study hall-type environment with students of all ages, but most of our students are in the K-8th grade range. Therefore, we are looking for future instructors who have solid math skills AND strong communication skills. We help our students solve their own problems, not just tell them what to do.
