ARAC tutors are compensated through federal work-study funds and receive coordination and training from Mercer University’s Center for Community Engagement and ARAC program partners. ARAC tutors provide one-on-one and/or small-group instruction to their tutees. ARAC tutors control their schedules each semester by selecting their recurring weekly schedule for the ReadUnited Online tutoring program, as well as their preferred day(s) and time(s) of tutoring. The online program runs Monday-Thursday with shifts in hour increments between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm. The ARAC tutor's schedule remains consistent for the duration of the semester .
