If so, we want you to join our team as a Sales Representative for the Smart Energy Decisions portfolio at Diversified!
In this role, you'll help power the future by connecting clean energy solution providers with key industry buyers. You'll work as the primary outbound sales driver to develop and execute sponsor acquisition strategies that fuel our 1-1 hosted buyer events, digital campaigns, and portfolio growth in the domestic clean tech market.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation & Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic sponsorship sales for SED's 1-1 forums, digital advertising, and ancillary partnerships.
- Client Relationship Management: Provide superior customer service and maintain strong, long-term business relationships through consistent follow-up and proactive account management.
- Business Development & Prospecting: Conduct daily outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social channels while staying current on market trends to identify and qualify new growth opportunities.
- Sales Activity & Data Management: Track all sales activities, account changes, and sponsorship details in CRM systems to ensure accurate reporting and pipeline management.
- Industry Engagement & Market Intelligence: Attend competitive and industry events to capture customer needs, gather market insights, and communicate valuable feedback to internal teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, editorial, and central teams to align strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
What We're Looking For:
- Knowledge & Experience: 5+ years' experience with proven track record in outbound sales with strong prospecting, qualifying, and closing abilities, preferably in sponsor sales or digital marketing environments; Business, Communication, or Management Degree and related work experience; Experience in hosted buyer 1:1 model is a plus.
- Relationship Building: Excellent written and oral communications skills with ability to build trust; ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, and editorial teams; public speaking/presenting a plus
- Strategic & Goal-Oriented: Ability to articulate value propositions, develop closing strategies, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets while tracking market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong organizational skills with experience in CRM systems, MS Office suite, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Travel: Travel required
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional hybrid or remote office environment and uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and virtual meeting technology.
