What You'll Do:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents’ functional abilities and quality of life.
- Conduct therapy sessions, monitor resident progress, and document outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, including nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
- Educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to enhance independence and safety.
What You'll Need:
- High school education (required)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Massachusetts PTA licensure.
- Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or short-term rehabilitation preferred.
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, squat, push/pull objects, lift/carry up to 20 lbs unassisted frequently, and assist with 50 lbs or more occasionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
