We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Registered Nurse (RN) to provide PRN support for on-site occupational health services at a large manufacturing facility in Dickson, TN. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand knowledge and experience in an industrial setting.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Provide on-site occupational medical / prevention services for work related injuries and illnesses. Services to include:
    • Medical care for work related injuries and illnesses / first aid
    • General health advice, education and coaching (ex. Lunch and Learns)
    • Manage Hearing Conservation Program (annual audiograms, new hire)
    • Respirator Fit Testing (fitting & usage)
    • Drug Screening
    • Support safety rounding and coaching on safe behaviors
    • Support case management with workers compensation insurance carriers
    • Manage occupational health data system and recordkeeping (paper/electronic)
    • Order medical supplies
    • Occasional “other duties” in line with work injury and illness treatment and prevention
  • Management of the occupational health data system and recordkeeping (EMR).
  • Maintain responsibilities for the confidentiality of medical records, a comprehensive system of documentation, record keeping, reporting and for services provided in conformance to both regulatory medical-legal requirements and internal policies; maintain these records in a computerized data base for Tennsco.
  • In collaboration with client, coordinate and support various campus wellness events.
  • Attend and support Environmental, Health & Safety team meetings as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned in an effort to support the Health & Safety team.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Greater than one-year work experience, specifically in an occupational health setting
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Mon-Fri 8am-5PM
  • On Call Coverage Needs for PM hours
