The successful candidate will provide scientific expertise for our preclinical programs and will be a key driver to advance novel targets for CNS and other disorders. Responsibilities: Set up in vivo pharmacology lab to design and conduct in vivo pharmacology studies to generate and characterize mouse models, characterize activity of genetic therapy candidates, and investigate the in vivo distribution of novel AAV capsids Drive the execution of novel target projects Support gene therapy project teams as an expert biologist in CNS disorders for through collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., target discovery, translational, regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing team) to help ensure the translation from discovery to development Basic Qualifications: PhD in Biology or related scientific field with 3+ years of work experience in Gene Therapy or Neuroscience, or Masters in Biology or related scientific field with 10+ years of work experience in Gene Therapy or Neuroscience. Additional Skills/Preferences: Passion, knowledge and experience in neuroscience or rare disease research. Prior experience in macromolecule distribution and metabolism Strong analytic thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to articulate issues, and extract and synthesize complex issues into key focus. Creative and curious. Can quickly adapt in a fast-paced working environment Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
