You will be helping our patients live well by: Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e., chief complaint, allergies, and/or medications). Vocational and prevocational assessment and training. 2. Initiates, interprets and makes necessary changes in the plan of care; promotes communication with the patient, physician family and other home health members. 3. Documents clearly and concisely care and services rendered on each visit, patient’s reaction and therapist’s observation. 4. Provides weekly progress notes prior to the required due to date. 5. Teaches home treatment program to patient and family. 6. Assists family in achieving safety techniques as indicated by Occupational Therapy program. 7. Documents and reports situations in which Occupational Therapists home health services should be discontinued. 8. Maintains records of charges for supplies utilized. 9. Communicates and cooperates with departmental personnel, supervisors, and physicians to promote effective working conditions and relations. 10. Reviews and revises the patient profile, treatment goals and plan of care. 11. Attends and participates in educational programs. May also be required to attend utilization review, case conferences and other committee meetings. 12. Adheres to agency policies and procedures. 13. We are looking for a claims professional with 10+ years’ experience adjusting Workers Compensation or Texas Non-Subscriber claims. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable or experienced in Texas Non-Subscriber, Occupational Accident, Worker’s Compensation, disability or medical management. The Non-Subscriber/Occupational Accident leader is responsible for our team investigating and adjusting employee injury claims, benefit determination, wage replacement, and medical management for Texas Non-Subscriber claims. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating and verifying coverage, assessing benefit compensability, communicating with Insureds, Attorneys and medical professionals. It also includes file documentation, policy interpretation and taking the action necessary to bring all assigned files to a reasonable resolution. Job Responsibilities: • Ensure that claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed. • Receive new loss assignments and review all information on new loss reports and providing guidance to adjusting staff. • Handle files involving catastrophic damages in accordance with our Catastrophic Guidelines. •Ensures adjuster timely interview insured’s, claimants, witnesses and investigate loss details as required, including any paper documents that may be required. This includes, but is not limited to; police reports, various public records, Bills Of Lading, lease agreements, releases, Proof of Loss, etc. • Oversee the confirmation and evaluation of coverage, including coverage dates and appropriate limits, terms and conditions, insuring agreements, etc. Ensure adjusters document the files relative to the coverage analysis and prepare any coverage position letter required (i.e. ROR, Denial, Tender Letter, etc.). • Ensure proper assignment to outside appraiser and/or adjuster with instructions for investigation and evaluation as needed. • Review reports from adjusters and/or appraisers and evaluate, make judgments, and formulate action plans to carry claim to final disposition. • Evaluate all key components of the claim and assist adjusters to formulate plan to carry file to conclusion. This includes applying appropriate coverage application, liability analysis, Injury/Damage analysis, settlement value range and action plan to resolve the file. • Ensure Claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner. • Identify files with subrogation potential and refer files to Subrogation Representative for evaluation and pursuit of potential subrogation claim. • Required Experience: • 10+ years claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Candidate fluent in Spanish a plus but not mandatory. Occupational Therapist Requirements:

    • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) college or university
    • Unencumbered Occupational Therapy (OTR/L) license and registration in New York
    • Conduct home visit assessments for referred patients, providing direct care to evaluate medical conditions, functional capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential
    • Basic computer literacy skills
