Their knowledge and understanding, therefore, should encompass not only those methods by which a good provider cares for a sick or injured person, but also the working environment, the materials and processes used and the preventive measures available to protect the health of the workers. The provider can then knowledgeably conduct periodic physical exams to determine work capacity and to monitor the health of workers. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of medical programs and procedures which are in compliance with federal and state regulatory standards, as further outlined in the Stellantis Health Services Manual. Each on-site occupational provider will be guided in their professional actions by adherence to high standards of professional ethics. In addition, each on-site occupational physician or nurse practitioner is responsible for adherence to all pertinent State and Federal laws governing the practice of medicine or nursing. On-site occupational provider will monitor preventive maintenance on existing and future medical equipment and direct the staff to implement corrective action / repair as required. Providers may be required to provide regular audits of supplies and equipment. Providers will be required to participate in chart audits.
