Job Description
Physical Therapist
Location: Oakland, CA
Position: Full-TimeSalary: $130,000–$150,000 per yearSchedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Role Overview
As a Physical Therapist in our community health clinic, you will help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through hands-on care and practical treatment planning. Your day-to-day work will focus on evaluating movement limitations, creating personalized rehabilitation plans, and guiding patients through safe and effective therapy sessions. This role supports individuals and families in the BIPOC community by improving physical function and quality of life through consistent, accessible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical abilities, movement patterns, and functional limitations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Provide one-on-one therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training
- Track patient progress and adjust care plans as recovery goals are met
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture, and at-home exercises
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes
- Collaborate with medical providers and care teams to support coordinated care
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of California
- Experience working in outpatient, community health, or clinical settings
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
