This role will also be responsible for the following under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist: Provides therapy services in a variety of settings including the developmental daycare and outpatient clinic. Schedules children onto caseload by contacting the parent/guardian. Provides documentation of all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes. Updates and turns in efficiency reports weekly. Updates schedule on the server. Provides administration with updated credentials as needed. Ensures that non-treatment time is reported to and approved by administration per policy. Enters all non-treatment time into deTASO. Completes additional paperwork requirements in an accurate and timely manner as notified by administration. These requirements include, but are not limited to: Early Intervention paperwork (if needed) Is available to provide occupational therapy services and other related duties (meetings, conferences, etc.) during the days and hours stipulated in the employment agreement. Is available to children and families to ensure continuity of care and proper management of treatment. Collaborates with administration and other disciplines to ensure quality services for children and families. Participates in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth. Provides feedback to administration regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the company. Responds positively to feedback concerning job performance. Participates in Multidisciplinary conferences as needed. Demonstrates continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge and application. We provide patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services for medical, surgical and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction. Under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides occupational therapy services to patients/clients to assist in improving basic motor functions, reasoning abilities, compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching patients/clients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. May provide treatment to patients/clients with cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction and physical disability. Assists with patient/clients and caregiver education. Essential Functions Assists Occupational Therapists in providing therapy to patient/client. Participates in the preparation and execution of the patient/client’s overall plan of care. Provides a treatment program as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Occupational Therapist according to agency policy to restore and return maximal function to the patient/client. Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment methods under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. Documentation for each patient/client is in compliance with department standards, medical-legal, regulatory and reimbursement procedures. Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Attend and participate in interdisciplinary conferences to coordinate patient/client care. Provides input into education information for family or caregivers regarding the Occupational Therapy program. Alerts the supervising occupational therapist or designees of potential health problems or changes in the patient/client’s condition. May instruct and train rehabilitation staff, nursing, other medical staff and students regarding patient/client needs and rehabilitation services. Participates in ongoing process improvement and program development. Provides transportation of the patient/client as needed using the employee’s personal vehicle to community based resources related to the patient/client's therapeutic goals (based on SH entity).
