The Physical Therapy Assistant in Home Health is responsible for patient care needs relating to the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Based on the assessment and evaluation performed by the PT, the Physical Therapy Assistant ensures that the treatment plan is followed, performs interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient's wellbeing, and evaluates the patient’s progress. A Physical Therapy Assistant must: Provide services defined by the state laws governing the practice of a Physical Therapy Assistant, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team Help the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety Observe, record, and report the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the health care team in the areas of therapy in which they can participate in assisting the patient Qualifications: Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages Physical Therapy Assistant license and registration by the state Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum approved by The American Physical Therapy Association, The Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association Bilingual a plus! We are Preferred Physical Therapy located off the 101 and Union Hills in Glendale, Arizona and we specialize in helping people 40+ stay active and independent, live free from pain killers, and avoid surgery.  We are looking to add a team member who is energetic and outgoing, thrilled to help other people, and good at anticipating the needs of patients and team members.  The Patient Care Specialist will be helping us to grow this company from a "start-up" - all the way to becoming a 5 STAR provider of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in Arizona.

A successful candidate will be outgoing, organized, have excellent time management, and exceptional oral communication skills and help our company achieve its mission to help people make better decisions about their health.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

    Assist the clinical team with patient careOversee and help to facilitate the patient's exercise programSet up recovery therapies for patients and clients like Normatec Compression, Ice/heatAssist clinical team in administering regenerative services like EMTT (extrcorporeal magnetotransduction therapy), Red Light Therapy, and PEMF (pulse electromagnetic therapy). Be responsible for keeping the clinic clean and presentable at all timesEnsure the patient's experience is productive toward reaching their internal goal and help to carry out the plans of the clinical providers.
