What You’ll Impact As the Developmental Therapy Clinical Manager, you will ensure high-quality clinical services, guide a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate across programs and the community to deliver holistic care that empowers clients and families. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Practice & Program Delivery Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client strengths, needs, and developmental goals. Obtain insurance prior authorization for services when appropriate, ensuring timely access to care. Handle medical necessity reviews for individual cases as requested by insurance plans, providing clinical documentation and justification as needed. Lead evidence-based therapy sessions, such as DIRFloortime®, for children and adults diagnosed with ASD and/or intellectual or developmental disabilities. Utilize ABS principles to promote social, emotional, and intellectual capacities in clients rather than focusing solely on isolated skills or behaviors. Provide education, coaching, and support to caregivers to implement strategies in the home environment. Continuously evaluate treatment progress, adjusting plans as needed in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and other professionals. Deliver other clinical or therapeutic services within the scope of professional licensure as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services. Maintain active licensure and pursue ABS accreditation within 2–4 years. Leadership & Supervision Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, including Child Mental Health Clinicians and Occupational Therapy Assistants. Assign cases, create and manage staff schedules, and provide regular clinical supervision and training to ensure high standards of practice and professional growth. Monitor and evaluate staff performance through supervision reports and development milestones. Foster collaboration across service departments to ensure comprehensive, integrated care plans for clients. Administrative & Compliance Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client records and case notes in Salesforce, supporting transparency, compliance, and data-driven decision-making. Develop, implement, and regularly update ABS program policies and procedures in alignment with CASL’s clinical and administrative protocols. Prepare program reports and track outcomes for internal management and funder reporting. Assist with grant proposals and attend meetings with funders or stakeholders as needed. Contribute to program budgeting and support career path planning for supervised staff. Ensure compliance with requirements for CASL’s ABS provider status. Community Engagement & Collaboration Cultivate partnerships with community organizations to enhance service coordination and client referrals. Provide strategic feedback to the Advancement and Marketing and Communications teams on promoting ABS services and increasing program visibility. Participate in outreach events, home visits, and community conferences to strengthen CASL’s presence and impact. What You Bring - To thrive in this role, you should have: Education and Experience: Active Illinois clinical licensure in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. If not currently licensed, must obtain within 6 months of hire. Commitment to becoming a Developmental Clinician through CASL-sponsored training within 2–3 years. Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting. Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in English required; Second language proficiency such as Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is highly preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, listen, and collaborate effectively across diverse cultural backgrounds, including clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong knowledge of client navigation within integrated care models, including the ability to connect clients to CASL programs, internal services, and external community resources to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support. Demonstrated expertise in clinical documentation and data management, including proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Salesforce, or similar systems. Skilled in establishing rapport and fostering trust with children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive care, with experience supporting culturally, racially, and socioeconomically diverse communities. Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel) and web-based platforms. Bonus Points For: Prior experience working with individuals with ASD and developmental disabilities preferred Experience with DIRFloortime® or other developmental therapy modalities. Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Environment and Scheduling: Work is performed between the hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm in 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, and one rotational Saturday a quarter at minimum with flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary. Accessibility to personal vehicle to accommodate home visits, outreach events, and other conferences that arise. Delivery of services in the home or community-based settings as needed.
