A typical day of a Patient Assistance Specialist might include. Provide culturally competent and comprehensive information on Medicaid, CHIP, and QHP coverage options. Assist individuals with application submissions, eligibility screening, documentation gathering, and troubleshooting enrollment barriers. Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and enrollment privacy standards. Track eligibility assistance and enrollment outcomes; maintain accurate documentation and encounter records.
