Job Summary The Field Commissioning Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the deployment, testing, and optimization of DISA’s HPSA technology across various field sites. This position involves hands-on engineering work, experimental design, data collection, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The Field Commissioning Engineer will contribute to R&D, pilot campaigns, and commercialization efforts while ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development. Education/ Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Minerals Processing Engineering is preferred. 1+ years of experience in field engineering, minerals processing, or remediation preferred. Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with DISA engineers, consultants, and strategic partners to support R&D and field operations Assist in the advancement and commercialization of HPSA technology across multiple market applications Conduct techno-economic analyses for emerging applications and contribute to business development efforts Design and execute experimental test campaigns on various mineral and waste materials Collect, analyze, and report data from field and lab tests to inform process optimization Operate and maintain minerals processing lab and field equipment Support process flowsheet development and control strategies Develop commissioning and optimization plans, procedures, and checklists for commercial scale installations. Lead FAT testing of HPSA systems before deployment to commercial sites. Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues during start-up. Responsible for final commissioning and handover documentation. Provide training and technical support to client/operations as required. Ensure site compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards. Travel to customer sites (up to 75%) to support field testing, commissioning, and client engagement. Document procedures, findings, and recommendations in technical reports and presentations. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in minerals processing, remediation, and resource recovery to drive innovation. Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA. Attend and participate in all required safety trainings. Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor. Requirements Required Skills Strong understanding of chemical, mechanical, or process engineering principles. Hands-on experience with field engineering testing methods, instrumentation, and sample analysis. Knowledge of process design, optimization, and troubleshooting in a field environment. Excellent math and analytical skills. Ability to follow process flowsheets and controls. Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., Aspen, MATLAB, Minitab, AutoCAD, or similar). Knowledge of scale-up from laboratory/pilot testing to full production processes. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients. Job Summary

The Field Commissioning Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the deployment, testing, and optimization of DISA’s HPSA technology across various field sites. This position involves hands-on engineering work, experimental design, data collection, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The Field Commissioning Engineer will contribute to R&D, pilot campaigns, and commercialization efforts while ensuring operational excellence and safety compliance. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Minerals Processing Engineering is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in field engineering, minerals processing, or remediation preferred.

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DISA engineers, consultants, and strategic partners to support R&D and field operations
  • Assist in the advancement and commercialization of HPSA technology across multiple market applications
  • Conduct techno-economic analyses for emerging applications and contribute to business development efforts
  • Design and execute experimental test campaigns on various mineral and waste materials
  • Collect, analyze, and report data from field and lab tests to inform process optimization
  • Operate and maintain minerals processing lab and field equipment
  • Support process flowsheet development and control strategies
  • Develop commissioning and optimization plans, procedures, and checklists for commercial scale installations.
  • Lead FAT testing of HPSA systems before deployment to commercial sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues during start-up.
  • Responsible for final commissioning and handover documentation.
  • Provide training and technical support to client/operations as required.
  • Ensure site compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards.
  • Travel to customer sites (up to 75%) to support field testing, commissioning, and client engagement.
  • Document procedures, findings, and recommendations in technical reports and presentations.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in minerals processing, remediation, and resource recovery to drive innovation.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
