Here’s an example of what a Dental Assistant Team Trainer/Floor Coordinator might do in a day: Use your years of work experience as a Dental Assistant to demonstrate and train our Dental Assistants skills needed in the clinical setting. Prepare training protocols/checklists needed for develop of our DA's. Be aware of training needs with team members. Either directly mentor or schedule our outsourced Trainer to work with team members as needed. Keep track of development progress in compliance with HR record keeping. Provide all needed "hands on" training on the clinical floor, in sterilization and in the lab settings. Training as needed to enhance skills required in itero or digital scanning for orthodontics or restorative treatment. Enhance general lab skills as identified and needed. Trainings on digital X-rays (Sensors, pan, ceph, CBCT scan. Ability to mentor and teach all OSHA regulations as needed. Share different sterilization techniques with team members. Provide lessons on dental software. Dentrix Ascend knowledge is a plus, but anyone with sufficient knowledge of any dental software and can adapt and ultimately master Ascend works. Communicate regularly with Administrative team and Doctors for feedback on team members possible training needs. Prepare evaluations on team members after first 90 days and annually as scheduled. Ability to understand and assist in helping keep Providers "on time". Recognize and share "same day" dental opportunities with the correct teams. Support lab case organization and tracking for Providers and their teams. Oversee that rooms are properly stocked and ready for a day of service. We're looking for someone who has: 10 or more years experience in a General or in a Speciality Dental Assistant position. Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays. Most Dental Assistants work every other Saturday. Must be willing to travel to both locations (West Babylon and Patchogue). Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced Practice. He graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1996 and then attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh, earning his DMD in 2001. After dental school, Dr. Bordlemay served as a general dentist in the United States Army for two years before beginning specialty training. In 2006, he received his certificate in periodontology from the Army Periodontics Residency at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. In 2012, he opened his practice in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Since then, it has grown alongside our community. We are excited to announce that the practice will be expanding in 2026. Construction has begun on our new building in Station Exchange, where we will continue to use the most advanced innovations to provide the highest quality care for our patients. Meanwhile, Dr. Bordlemay continues to provide his expertise in surgical treatments such as laser-assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) as an alternative to conventional surgical therapy. He also offers the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique to treat gum recession without scalpels, sutures, or palatal grafting. Additionally, we use cone beam equipment to capture three-dimensional radiographs (similar to a CT scan) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning for dental implants. Dr. Bordlemay is married to Dr. Cathy Bordlemay, a general dentist who also practices in Richmond Hill, Georgia. They have two children, Tristan and Peyton. On the weekends, Dr. Bordlemay enjoys boating with his family, hunting, and fishing. He is also an enthusiast for Pittsburgh-based sporting events, especially the Pirates.
