We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization On-call Dental Assistant position available for our Federal Way Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgeryprocedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act. Major duties for Dental Assistants include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies. In addition, will also assist in training new Dental Assistants and organizing schedules to generate check lists formaintenance of dental procedures. Candidates who have previous orthoexperience are preferred. QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have a valid WA State license, basic life support (BLS) certification, organizational skills, dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization of computers. Excellent customer service skills required for this position. Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have the ability to interpret common written material about dentistry. Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish. As a DENTAL ASSISTANT II, applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute orequivalent. A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required. Employee with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position. As a DENTAL ASSISTANT III, applicant must be knowledgeable of theproper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Job Description Summary Adjunct Instructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the on-going development of instructional strategies that promote student success. Business & Community Engagement- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners. Proactively promote the College and our programs. Student Success & Support- Serve as an advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services staff to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students be successful. Professional Development- Continually improve knowledge and skills in emerging trends, current occupational practices and teaching through professional development activities, and current employment in the field. Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation. Curriculum Development- Develop curriculum and instructional materials that are competency-based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with the college policy on the level of required documentation. Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience Requirements: Associate degree or the degree/licensure level at which the adjunct instructor is teaching at a minimum (Bachelor's degree preferred). Minimum of at least 4,000 hours in the field within the last five years. Five years of occupational experience preferred. Prior teaching or training experience preferred. Qualified per FVTC requirements at the time of, and throughout employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job-specific licensing standards. Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements: Wisconsin Registered Dental Hygienist license is required. Clinical documentation requirements need to be met and maintained. Adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs. Communicate effectively and professionally with various audiences. Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including development of relevant curriculum. Partner with leaders and key stakeholders across dental network, product, claims, service, finance and other business areas to pressure test recommendations, gain buy-in and implement solutions as well as with Finance and Actuarial to develop annual growth plans and obtain buy in from network management. Collaborate with Finance and Actuarial to prepare and enhance our comprehensive monthly and quarterly reporting package that can be successfully leveraged by network leadership for decision-making. Be responsible for preparing monthly network operating review content for senior leadership that highlights key performance indicators and explains their impact on the business. Responsible for independently preparing strategic recommendations in Powerpoint that tell compelling stories. Ability to leverage and interpret data to support recommendations. You Have Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA preferred. Prior Group Benefits or Medical insurance experience preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Salary Range: $101,180.00 - $166,220.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. On-call Dental Assistant position available for our Federal Way Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgeryprocedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act. Major duties for Dental Assistants include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies. In addition, will also assist in training new Dental Assistants and organizing schedules to generate check lists formaintenance of dental procedures. Candidates who have previous orthoexperience are preferred. QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have a valid WA State license, basic life support (BLS) certification, organizational skills, dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization of computers. Excellent customer service skills required for this position. Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have the ability to interpret common written material about dentistry. Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish. As a DENTAL ASSISTANT II, applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute orequivalent. A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required. Employee with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position. As a DENTAL ASSISTANT III, applicant must be knowledgeable of theproper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Applicantmust have 2 years working experience.
