Job Summary As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide optimum periodontal/hygiene services and oral health education to Unity Care NW patients. You would provide traditional hygiene services such as scaling and root-planning. You may also provide sealants, screenings & radiographs, restorative fills & other services. You would be responsible for the setup and cleanup of dental rooms and charting. Job Summary

As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide optimum periodontal/hygiene services and oral health education to Unity Care NW patients. You would provide traditional hygiene services such as scaling and root-planning. You may also provide sealants, screenings & radiographs, restorative fills & other services. You would be responsible for the setup and cleanup of dental rooms and charting.

Requirements

  • An Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
  • Two years' previous DH experience
  • A current Washington State Dental Hygienist License with no actions taken
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (this can be obtained upon hire if not currently certified)
  • Ability to place and finish restorative materials and sealants
  • General knowledge of basic dental policies & procedures and oral health issues, especially regarding oral hygiene
  • General office skills such as computers (Dentrix and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word & Excel), faxes, telephones, and copy machines
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Ability to maintain an effective and positive professional working relationship with staff and patients at all times

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a community or public health setting
  • Experience working with adults in underserved populations
