We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Dental Assistant I, II, or III - Posting #27033 Hourly Range: $21.69 - $23.57 Position Summary: On-call Dental Assistant position available for our Monroe Dental Clinic. If needed, this position may be required to travel to the Everett, Marysville, and Lynnwood clinics to cover open shifts. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery procedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act. As a Dental Assistant, applicant must be knowledgeable of the proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including Quality Improvement. Must be able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Duties include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies, assist in training new Dental Assistants and organize schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures. Qualifications and/or Experience: Applicant must have a valid WA State license, basic life support (BLS) certification, organizational skills, dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization of computers. Excellent customer service skills required for this position. Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have the ability to interpret common written material about dentistry. Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish. Preferred previous ortho experience. As a Dental Assistant II , applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required. Employee with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position. As a Dental Assistant III,  applicant must be knowledgeable of the proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. While x-ray certification is not required in every state, it is considered a plus. Duties & Responsibilities: Chairside Assistance:  Provide chairside support during general dentistry procedures, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, and root canals.  Assist during implant surgery, including AOX cases, ensuring the setup of surgical kits, materials, and patient preparation.  Work closely with the prosthodontist during restorative procedures, including denture adjustments, temporary and final restorations, and implant placement.  Surgical Assistance:  Assist the dentist during implant surgeries, including bone grafting, sinus lifts, and AOX full-arch restorations.  Maintain a sterile field, ensure proper handling of surgical instruments, and manage patient comfort during procedures.  Monitor patients' vitals during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care instructions.  Patient Care and Education:  Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, answer questions, and provide pre- and post-operative care instructions.  Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, implant care, and post-surgical recovery.  Take detailed medical histories and document any relevant patient information.  Radiography and Imaging:  Take high-quality dental X-rays, including panoramic and 3D CBCT scans, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.  Assist in the setup and operation of intraoral scanners and digital imaging equipment.  Lab Work and Restorative Support:  Fabricate temporary crowns, bridges, and other restorations as needed.  Take impressions, pour and trim models, and assist in preparing cases for the dental lab.  Assist in the fabrication and adjustment of implant-supported restorations.  Inventory and Sterilization:  Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a well-organized operatory.  Sterilize instruments following OSHA and CDC guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe environment.  Prepare and maintain surgical trays, instruments, and equipment.  Administrative Support:  Assist with scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and documenting treatment notes.  Coordinate with the front desk and lab to ensure efficient patient flow and timely delivery of lab cases.  All other duties as assigned.  Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent  required. ​Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in New Jersey and active Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT)  required . Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Position Summary As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will help support the clinical needs of our patients and doctors. The duties of a Dental Assistant are very important for the functionality of our dental offices. These duties can include patient care, recordkeeping, and appointment scheduling. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will work under the supervision of dentists and work closely with dental hygienists in their day-to-day activities. Duties and Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist in rendering patient care chairside. Maintaining inventory control in the operatories where treatment is rendered by the Provider Adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines Deliver world class patient interactions related to scheduling, follow up treatment, post-surgical information and record keeping Be able to perform basic lab procedures such as taking impressions, pour models, and preparing cases for external labs. Remove excess cement from crowns or other restorations and orthodontic appliances; Fabricate and cement temporary crowns and bridges after preparation of tooth (teeth) by a dentist. Placing and removing rubber dam and clamp. This does not include intra-oral occlusal adjustment; Trial size (pre-select) orthodontic bands, wires, stainless steel crowns and temporary crowns intra-orally or on diagnostic models; Place and remove arch wires and ligature wires Remaining items that are within the scope of Registered Dental assistant. Maintaining public area appearance Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required and demonstrates a desire to learn Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work: For NJ - Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required. Certified Dental Assistant certificate preferred Registered Dental Assistant License preferred 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed X-ray License required Current NJ Registered Dental Assistant license Active CPR Certification is required. Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies Knowledge of dental instruments and patient care. Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public. Hourly Range: $21.69 - $23.57

Position Summary:

On-call Dental Assistant position available for our Monroe Dental Clinic. If needed, this position may be required to travel to the Everett, Marysville, and Lynnwood clinics to cover open shifts. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery procedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act.

As a Dental Assistant, applicant must be knowledgeable of the proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including Quality Improvement. Must be able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Duties include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies, assist in training new Dental Assistants and organize schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures.

Qualifications and/or Experience:

  • Applicant must have a valid WA State license, basic life support (BLS) certification, organizational skills, dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization of computers.
  • Excellent customer service skills required for this position. Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have the ability to interpret common written material about dentistry.
  • Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Preferred previous ortho experience.

As a Dental Assistant II, applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required. Employee with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position.

As a Dental Assistant III, applicant must be knowledgeable of the proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Applicant must have 2 years working experience. Employees with no formal training must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Dental Assistant position.
