Aides may also proctor exams. The Classroom Aide works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from the Full Time Instructor or other faculty. The Classroom Aide must never be delivering Primary Instruction or Proficiency Completion to students, but can be a resource to support student tutoring and remediation needs. Job Duties and Responsibilities Classroom Duties may include: Aiding with computers and other technology in the classroom Setting up labs and doing other classroom prep at the direction of the Primary or Secondary Instructor Helping with hands-on activities in the classroom Other non-teaching classroom or tutoring duties as assigned Outside of Class Giving tutoring to students as scheduled by the Associate Director Assisting with restocking and cleaning of the classroom Assisting with orientation prep and other orientation tasks to assist students Proctoring exams for nursing students while following guidelines established in proctor training All work is to be performed on campus At all times, Classroom Aides must conduct themselves in accordance with the Ross Guidelines, which include but are not limited to the following: Maintaining a positive attitude towards faculty, classmates, and tutees Maintaining confidentiality of student information and academic performance Abiding by all standards of academic integrity - including cheating and plagiarism Refer to Campus Leadership, for any problem which arises that seems to exceed the aide's ability Classroom Aide/Proctor Requirements Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program as a Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, or Veterinary Assistant For graduates of diploma or degree programs outside of Ross: 1 or more years work experience in their allied health field National MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA) or National DA certification (CDA, RDA) a plus Must have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation. The grant Clinical Research Coordinator will report to the grant Co-Investigator in CDMI and serve as part of the grant research team. The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage dental clinical research processes related to the grant, oversee CDMI faculty and staff on clinical practice-based research systems and electronic data capture systems, serve as the liaison between the dental clinic student and faculty and the research team, and implement quality control procedures for the grant-related research studies within the Dental Institute. Applicants must be comfortable interacting with patients and working in and around an oral environment. Although the CRC is housed in the Dental Institute, this individual will be expected to work with faculty and students both preclinically and clinically. This is a grant-funded position with an expected term of 3 years. Occasional travel to local and national conferences to help present novel clinical research outcomes will be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execution of clinical research tasks, to include (but not be limited to): anticipate clinical needs for multiple researcher teams and perform chart review to identify scheduled subjects and complete all forms and requisitions. Working with PIs, this individual will screen, identify and enroll human volunteer participants into clinical practice-based research studies by taking medical histories, administering informed consent forms (ICFs), and obtaining all required signatures. Coordinate daily interactions with patients/subjects, clinicians, and lab personnel and manage study-related scheduling. Communicate with subjects to obtain detailed information on Adverse Events (AEs) and expediently notify study PIs and other key personnel. Follow-up on subject complaints/questions. Manage collection and storage of biological specimens from research studies. Work with Data Management staff to develop source documents and case report forms (CREs) for all clinical research subjects. Order and maintain research supplies and materials. Provide daily support for ongoing clinical protocols and assist with completion of clinical measurements and procedures which may include (but not be limited to): verifying patient medical history, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure), deploying surveys, taking intraoral and facial photographs, and preparing laboratory samples for transport, storage, and/or analysis. Additional clinical responsibilities may include (but not be limited to) making impressions and/or intraoral scans, taking radiographs or working with radiology technicians to take CBCTs, working with research faculty to collect data, and other assessments based on licensure, certifications, and training under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or a clinical faculty Work with clinical monitors/clinical research personnel to facilitate communications for active protocols. Perform timely and accurate recording of patient/subject data into the dental records and research records. Classroom Aide/Proctor

PART TIME - CLASSROOM AIDE - MEDICAL OR DENTAL ASSISTANTS - MORNINGS & EVENINGS AVAILABLE

The Classroom Aide may provide assistance to Primary or Secondary Instructors in the classroom, and students who need tutoring in individual and group sessions. Aides may also proctor exams. The Classroom Aide works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from the Full Time Instructor or other faculty.

The Classroom Aide must never be delivering Primary Instruction or Proficiency Completion to students, but can be a resource to support student tutoring and remediation needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Classroom Duties may include:

  • Aiding with computers and other technology in the classroom
  • Setting up labs and doing other classroom prep at the direction of the Primary or Secondary Instructor
  • Helping with hands-on activities in the classroom
  • Other non-teaching classroom or tutoring duties as assigned

Outside of Class

  • Giving tutoring to students as scheduled by the Associate Director
  • Assisting with restocking and cleaning of the classroom
  • Assisting with orientation prep and other orientation tasks to assist students
  • Proctoring exams for nursing students while following guidelines established in proctor training
  • All work is to be performed on campus

At all times, Classroom Aides must conduct themselves in accordance with the Ross Guidelines, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining a positive attitude towards faculty, classmates, and tutees
  • Maintaining confidentiality of student information and academic performance
  • Abiding by all standards of academic integrity - including cheating and plagiarism
  • Refer to Campus Leadership, for any problem which arises that seems to exceed the aide's ability

Classroom Aide/Proctor

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Ross Medical Education Center program as a Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, or Veterinary Assistant
  • For graduates of diploma or degree programs outside of Ross: 1 or more years work experience in their allied health field
  • National MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, NCMA) or National DA certification (CDA, RDA) a plus
  • Must have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
