Department SBHC-DPS Dental Program Job Summary Under indirect or no supervision (direct access care), performs dental hygiene services for the care and treatment of patients in the School-Based health centers. This may include an assessment and diagnosis of oral diseases and treatment plan within the scope of practice of a Licensed Dental Hygienist in Colorado to complete preventative prophylaxis cleanings, periodontal maintenance treatment, non-surgical periodontal therapy, oral hygiene instruction, fluoride application and placement of dental sealants. Prescribes therapeutic agents within their scope according to the state practice act, with collaboration of an attending dentist. Under indirect supervision, administers injectable local anesthetic when indicated, application of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) (with certification) and with certification and a permit from the state, can apply Interim Therapeutic Restorations (ITR). The dental hygienist will also be responsible for completing medical and dental histories, taking necessary radiographs according to ALARA principles, taking vital signs when indicated and ensuring the patient's periodontal and dental exams are up to date. Essential Functions : Patient Care: Performs dental hygiene assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for dental hygiene services. Identifies dental abnormalities for immediate referral to a Denver Health (DH) community health clinic (CHC) dentist. Responsibilities: 
  • Meeting with potential patients to discuss our dental implant solution 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and current patients, ensuring a smooth hand-off between consult and treatment 
  • Maintain records of completed transactions and patients 
  • Manage follow-up process by reaching out to potential patients who have already expressed an interest to help educate them on the process, identify where they are in their decision-making process, and/or follow up on patients who may have delayed treatment 
  • Manage the referral-based lead generation process, working with existing patients to identify potential referrals 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Job Requirements:
  • Must be computer literate
  • Knowledge of Dentrix software preferred
  • Must be familiar with All on X cases 
  • Must be able to handle big cases with high dollar values 
  • Must have a friendly & customer-oriented demeanor and a commitment to excellence
  • A minimum of 1-year dental sales experience and 3 years within the dental industry
  • Someone with a strong knowledge of dental terminology and financial skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Multitask, fast learner, self-starter
  • Good positive mental attitude, plus an aptitude and willingness to learn and grow
  • English / Spanish bilingual is preferred 
Excellent sales  (5-7 years selling experience) 
  • Strong communication
  • Self-motivation, drive, and initiative 
  • An outgoing and confident approach 
  • Experience using a contact tracking system
Office hours are 8:30 am- 5:30 pm Monday - Friday and we are closed Saturdays & Sundays so you can enjoy time with your family.
