The Dental Assistant works under the supervision of the Lead RDA and are responsible for a wide range of tasks in the dental office - ranging from patient care and education to administrative duties to laboratory functions. Note: All employees need to be flexible and available to provide dental assistance and perform front desk duties based on the patient needs and as directed by office management. Assist with the direction to DA office team throughout the day to maintain productive patient flow. Assist the doctors during a variety of treatment procedures. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health. Complete denture soft relines and manufactures temporary crowns. Monitor and aid in management of laboratory cases. Perform quality intraoral health scan of patients under 5 minutes. Understanding of clear aligner process with the ability to articulate and teach. Ability to take quality impressions and bite registrations. Perform additional expanded functions based on certification(s) to support patient care (coronal polishing, restorative functions, etc.). Ensures emergency kits and oxygen tanks are maintained. Ability to order and maintain supplies in accordance with practice budget. Perform various office tasks as necessary. Requirements and Qualifications Current Dental Assistant License, Registration, Certification as required by state. Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state. Current CPR or BLS certificate. 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant. Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry. Demonstrate and provide instruction on proper sterilization and infection control techniques. Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state. The Dental Assistant works under the supervision of the Lead RDA and are responsible for a wide range of tasks in the dental office - ranging from patient care and education to administrative duties to laboratory functions. Note: All employees need to be flexible and available to provide dental assistance and perform front desk duties based on the patient needs and as directed by office management.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare patients for Dentist examination through pre-exam evaluations, including iTero scanning, X-rays, medical history and obtaining vitals
  • Build relationship with patients to ensure they comfortable and relaxed throughout visit
  • Assist Dentist with dental charting, chair-side procedure assistance such as suctioning, swabbing, place and remove of rubber dams/matrices/wedges, application of topical anesthetic; and materials and instrument preparation including but not limited to cements, amalgam, composites, impression materials etc.
  • Perform infection control to CDC, ADA, and OSHA standards; sterilize treatment rooms before and after patient visits, sterilize instruments and other work areas
