This position is responsible for the safe, accurate, and compassionate dispensing of methadone and other approved medications, monitoring client response, and maintaining complete and compliant medical documentation. The Dispensing Nurse works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Physician, and Clinical Program Director to ensure medication protocols are followed, regulatory requirements are met, and clients receive respectful, professional care. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with electronic health record systems, and a commitment to confidentiality and patient safety. What You Will Do Dispense methadone and other prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and clinic policies. Monitor clients for treatment response, including signs of withdrawal, intoxication, or adverse reactions, and communicate concerns promptly. Perform required patient assessments and document patient condition as appropriate. Accurately document dosing, assessments, and clinical interactions in the Electronic Health Record and Methasoft system. Maintain accurate counts, reconciliation, and secure storage of controlled substances in compliance with DEA and State Board of Pharmacy requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant medication dispensing area. Collaborate with the Medical Director, Physician, and Clinical Program Director to support coordinated medical care.
