Job description This role is central to the development, testing and reliable operation of the ion source of Transmutex' accelerator. As an electronics and instrumentation engineer, you will ensure implementation of precision monitoring and control while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicists and engineers. Your responsibilities consist of: - Design, develop, and implement instrumentation systems for the ion source and its associated test bench, ensuring precise monitoring and control of operational parameters. - Integrate and calibrate sensors for diagnostics, including temperature, pressure, beam current, and other critical performance metrics. - Develop and optimize control systems for the ion source, including signal processing and real-time data acquisition. - Design and implement the data acquisition interface to the test bench software - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design fault-tolerant and redundant systems, as well as monitoring systems for the ion source. - Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems during ion source commissioning and operation. - Document system designs, test results, and operational guidelines to support long-term maintenance and scalability. Requirements The candidates we are looking for must have : - Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. - 7+ years of experience in instrumentation, control systems, sensor integration, and/or in designing and maintaining electronic systems for high-reliability and industrial applications. - Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensor calibration, and signal processing. - Proficiency in programming and scripting for automation and control (e.g., Ladder Logic, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
