Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator- Pond Harvester Reports To: Production Working Supervisor Location: New Mexico- HB Plant OVERVIEW A Pond Harvester operates heavy equipment in order to harvest salt off of Intrepid's solar evaporation ponds. Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator- Pond Harvester

Reports To: Production Working Supervisor

Location: New Mexico- HB Plant

OVERVIEW

A Pond Harvester operates heavy equipment in order to harvest salt off of Intrepid's solar evaporation ponds. This position requires a safety-conscious work attitude and comfort in operating large mobile equipment.

JOB DUTIES

  • Operate heavy mobile equipment including, but not limited to: CAT scraper, motor grader, skid steer, blade, loader, etc.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections, as well as preventative maintenance and equipment clean up, to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, and report any safety hazards to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor and operate equipment to ensure consistent wet mineral is sent to the flotation plant
  • Assist in mucking and cleaning up mineral spills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum one (1) year heavy equipment operation experience
  • Possession of Class A CDL is preferred but not required
  • Experience in operating: back hoe, dump truck, excavator, belly dump and dozer preferred, but not required
