The GIS Systems Specialist will provide expert-level GIS analysis, geospatial application development, and system administration in support of a range of IT and mapping tasks including CAD, GPS, and emergency operations. Supports Department of Public Works (DPW) staff through technical mapping services, spatial database management, research, and document production. Responsibilities Include: ·       Develop and maintain GIS web applications and tools. ·       Provide CAD support for civil engineering and facilities planning. ·       Integrate and manage GPS data for mapping and asset tracking. ·       Manage spatial and attribute databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, etc.). ·       Administer GIS-related systems and services including servers, licenses, and plotters. ·       Provide research, data entry, and map/document production for DPW stakeholders. ·       Monitor, maintain, and replenish GIS hardware (e.g., large-format plotters) and related supplies. ·       Perform GPS mission planning, field data acquisition, and post-processing. ·       Provide technical support for GPS equipment and user training. ·       Acquire, process, and integrate spatial data into GIS or CAD platforms. ·       Conduct data migration and projection transformations. ·       Maintain and update spatial databases, creating forms, reports, queries, and tables. ·       Use software tools (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trimble) for spatial data management and map production. ·       Perform field surveying using GPS and optical instruments. ·       Support Emergency Operations Center (EOC) by creating or updating floorplans, maps, and spatial databases in near-real-time scenarios. ·       Deliver digitized as-built floorplans and process construction GPS survey data for GIS/CAD use. ·       Produce maps, reports, and spatial data for a variety of Garrison and Test customers. ·       Update and maintain ESRI enterprise geodatabases. ·       Create and maintain metadata for enterprise feature classes. ·       Collect and process GPS data from Garmin and/or Trimble devices. ·       Enter and correct data with the enterprise geodatabases from aerial photography, spreadsheets, legal descriptions and other information sources. ·       Develop and maintain ArcGIS for Server web applications and Portal for ArcGIS. ·       Provide Portal content as need to support Garrison and Test Customers. ·       Provide GIS Pro, Portal, and GPS help/support for customers including interfacing GPS and GIS. ·       Provide GIS support to the Emergency Operations Center EOC during exercises and emergencies. ·       Attend meetings and conferences as required. Required Qualifications: ·       3 years or more experience using the ArcGIS Product suite (10.x), daily. ·       Experience using ArcGIS Pro and Portal for ArcGIS. ·       5 years of experience in Geography or related field. ·       B.A., B.S. OR M.S. in Geography or related field. M.S. can supplement years of experience. ·       Knowledge of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) a plus. ·       Experience with Trimble and Garmin GPS hardware/software. ·       Experience administering and maintaining an ArcSDE multi-user database. ·       Ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer oriented environment. ·       Ability to manage time effectively across multiple concurrent projects. ·       Must have excellent oral, written, and analytical communication skills. ·       Experience with data modeling principles, data driven pages, application design and basic knowledge of Python a plus. ·       Thorough working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office as well as working knowledge of office practices and procedures. ·       Must have an active DoD SECRET clearance. H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a GIS Systems Specialist to join our current contract supporting the White Sands Missile Range. The GIS Systems Specialist will provide expert-level GIS analysis, geospatial application development, and system administration in support of a range of IT and mapping tasks including CAD, GPS, and emergency operations. Supports Department of Public Works (DPW) staff through technical mapping services, spatial database management, research, and document production.

Responsibilities Include:

·       Develop and maintain GIS web applications and tools.

·       Provide CAD support for civil engineering and facilities planning.

·       Integrate and manage GPS data for mapping and asset tracking.

·       Manage spatial and attribute databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, etc.).

·       Administer GIS-related systems and services including servers, licenses, and plotters.

·       Provide research, data entry, and map/document production for DPW stakeholders.

·       Monitor, maintain, and replenish GIS hardware (e.g., large-format plotters) and related supplies.

·       Perform GPS mission planning, field data acquisition, and post-processing.

·       Provide technical support for GPS equipment and user training.

·       Acquire, process, and integrate spatial data into GIS or CAD platforms.

·       Conduct data migration and projection transformations.

·       Maintain and update spatial databases, creating forms, reports, queries, and tables.

·       Use software tools (e.g., ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trimble) for spatial data management and map production.

·       Perform field surveying using GPS and optical instruments.

·       Support Emergency Operations Center (EOC) by creating or updating floorplans, maps, and spatial databases in near-real-time scenarios.

·       Deliver digitized as-built floorplans and process construction GPS survey data for GIS/CAD use.

·       Produce maps, reports, and spatial data for a variety of Garrison and Test customers.

·       Update and maintain ESRI enterprise geodatabases.

·       Create and maintain metadata for enterprise feature classes.

·       Collect and process GPS data from Garmin and/or Trimble devices.

·       Enter and correct data with the enterprise geodatabases from aerial photography, spreadsheets, legal descriptions and other information sources.

·       Develop and maintain ArcGIS for Server web applications and Portal for ArcGIS.

·       Provide Portal content as need to support Garrison and Test Customers.

·       Provide GIS Pro, Portal, and GPS help/support for customers including interfacing GPS and GIS.

·       Provide GIS support to the Emergency Operations Center EOC during exercises and emergencies.

·       Attend meetings and conferences as required.

Required Qualifications:

·       3 years or more experience using the ArcGIS Product suite (10.x), daily.

·       Experience using ArcGIS Pro and Portal for ArcGIS.

·       5 years of experience in Geography or related field.

·       B.A., B.S. OR M.S. in Geography or related field. M.S. can supplement years of experience.

·       Knowledge of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) a plus.

·       Experience with Trimble and Garmin GPS hardware/software.

·       Experience administering and maintaining an ArcSDE multi-user database.

·       Ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer oriented environment.

·       Ability to manage time effectively across multiple concurrent projects.

·       Must have excellent oral, written, and analytical communication skills.

·       Experience with data modeling principles, data driven pages, application design and basic knowledge of Python a plus.
