ABOUT THE LUCAS MUSEUM OF NARRATIVE ART Opening in September 2026, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is dedicated to illustrated storytelling. Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum’s collection features works by artists including Norman Rockwell, Kadir Nelson, Jessie Willcox Smith, N. C. Wyeth, Beatrix Potter, Judith F. Baca, Frida Kahlo, and Maxfield Parrish; as well as comic art legends such as Winsor McCay, Jack Kirby, Frank Frazetta, Alison Bechdel, Chris Ware, and R. Crumb; and photographers Gordon Parks, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Dorothea Lange. The Museum also houses the Lucas Archives, containing models, props, concept art, and costumes from Lucas’s filmmaking career. Designed by Ma Yansong of MAD with a landscape by Mia Lehrer of Studio-MLA, the Museum is in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, on an 11-acre campus that includes new green space and a 300,000-square-foot building with galleries, two theaters, a library, restaurant, café, retail store, and community spaces. POSITION SUMMARY The Social Media Specialist will be a key architect of the museum’s digital storytelling ecosystem, shaping how audiences experience the Lucas Museum’s mission, collection, and programs across every major social platform. This role requires a strategic, highly creative thinker who can translate the museum’s narrative-driven identity into compelling, consistent, and platform-specific content. The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated understanding of digital engagement, a strong visual and editorial sensibility, and a proven record of developing and executing high-impact social campaigns for major cultural, creative, or entertainment brands. The incumbent in this role is responsible for providing psychosocial assessment, social case work and linkage to community resources for patients who have chronic, life threatening or altering diseases and disorders. Assesses the patients for psychosocial, financial, family issues, palliative care/end of life issues, home safety, etc. that negatively impact their health outcomes and at risk for hospitalization. Medicaid and other benefit eligibility assessments: Conducts appropriate assessment of needs and financial benefit eligibility. Assesses patients for Medicaid criteria and assists with application process as needed. Assists patients to obtain community resources/services as appropriate, e.g. meals, medications, housing, daycare, HHA and other SDoH needs as identified. Resource coordination and prevention: Serves as care coordinator linking patients with internal and external resources, prioritizing complex patients whose needs can lead to unnecessary hospital arrivals. Educates center staff, other members of the care team, patients and caregivers on how to access community resources as identified by the patients SDoH Wellness Screening. Works with patient, family, and interdisciplinary care team to facilitate applications for higher level of care. Maintains an accurate repository of social wellness tools and resources for the care team’s awareness and utilization with patients in need. Communication: Maintains communication with interdisciplinary team members by attending appropriate meetings (i.e. weekly Super Huddles and Hospital and Community Care Team (HCT) meeting.) Provides consultation in an integrated health care environment regarding social determinants of health and community resources. Timely and accurate documentation: Maintains timely, accurate, thorough and appropriate documentation/reports per company policies and procedures. Initial psychosocial assessments will be completed within 48 hours. All follow- up visits, phone calls and collaborative contacts will be documented within 24 hours. Assures documentation meets billing guidelines. Additional duties may include: Works closely with the Complex Care Team to secure the appropriate level of care post hospital/SNF discharge. Further interventions may be conducted in the center, by phone call or patient’s home. Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion. The Day Treatment Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based therapy services to youth that have been diagnosed with an SED and would benefit from mental health counseling and their families. Services are primarily school-based setting and many participating youths are involved in multiple child serving systems (e.g., child welfare, special education and/or juvenile justice) and/or may be at risk of out of home placement. The Therapist facilitates regular therapy sessions and monitors client progress from the point of intake/referral, through treatment, to discharge and aftercare. For youth that are enrolled in Wraparound Care Coordination, the therapist also works with the Wraparound Team, as facilitated by the Care Coordinator, to develop and implement the Individualized Service Plan for each identified client/family. The Day Treatment Therapist enhances resources available to each family through offering options for additional services, education, and support. The Therapist coordinates the flow of clinical information across agencies and providers while protecting the confidentiality of individuals served. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Can articulate the mission, vision and values of Choices, the practice of evidence-based interventions and therapeutic services compliant with Medicaid regulations for enrolled individuals. Facilitates evidence-based interventions through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, clinically assesses and re-assesses individuals as required, and participates as an active team member in the Wraparound process for each family enrolled in Wraparound. Provides participating youth and family members with counseling to meet underlying needs and support, increase, or restore capacity for self-sufficiency. Maintains population-specific competencies to ensure effective delivery of services to youth and families. Provides screening, assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based therapeutic intervention, re-assessment, discharge/aftercare planning and referrals as needed. Completes client documentation in accordance with Medicaid, state, federal, and DCS contract requirements. Completes client documentation within established timelines. Provides crisis intervention as required and follow-up clinical assessment with client(s) involved to determine need for appropriate clinical course of action. Attends Child/Family/Team meetings and Treatment Plan Reviews and documents outcomes as needed. Meets regularly with supervisor or designee for clinical supervision and seeks further supervision when appropriate and necessary. Self-monitors billing and productivity levels and gives feedback to supervisor regarding workflow and/or billing concerns. Communicates timely with the Clinical Supervisor, Care Coordinator, and other members of the clinical team to coordinate services to youth and families. Maintains appropriate boundaries with youth and families receiving services. Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices. Qualifications Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or a related human service field required, with at least two years of full-time experience providing direct mental health counseling and/or case management services preferred. Mississippi license strongly preferred (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist) Minimum required certification/licensure as PCMHT/CMHT, LMFTA, P-LPC or LMSW. Maintains active clinical license/certification, as applicable, per respective professional license board. Maintains active certification in specialized areas of practice and selected evidence-based treatment modalities. Demonstrated skills in assessment tools, therapy with youth and families, crisis intervention, team building and development. Strong communication and writing skills. Bi-lingual skills (Spanish) a plus. Highly organized, and effectively manages multiple priorities simultaneously. Professionally articulate in communicating (oral and written) system development, change and outcomes. Demonstrated professionalism working in teams with internal colleagues and external audiences both in person and through various electronic media. Enthusiastic about advancing system change within the community. Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance. ABOUT THE LUCAS MUSEUM OF NARRATIVE ART
Opening in September 2026, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is dedicated to illustrated storytelling.  Founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum’s collection features works by artists including Norman Rockwell, Kadir Nelson, Jessie Willcox Smith, N. C. Wyeth, Beatrix Potter, Judith F. Baca, Frida Kahlo, and Maxfield Parrish; as well as comic art legends such as Winsor McCay, Jack Kirby, Frank Frazetta, Alison Bechdel, Chris Ware, and R. Crumb; and photographers Gordon Parks, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Dorothea Lange. The Museum also houses the Lucas Archives, containing models, props, concept art, and costumes from Lucas’s filmmaking career. 
Designed by Ma Yansong of MAD with a landscape by Mia Lehrer of Studio-MLA, the Museum is in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, on an 11-acre campus that includes new green space and a 300,000-square-foot building with galleries, two theaters, a library, restaurant, café, retail store, and community spaces.  
POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Media Specialist will be a key architect of the museum’s digital storytelling ecosystem, shaping how audiences experience the Lucas Museum’s mission, collection, and programs across every major social platform. This role requires a strategic, highly creative thinker who can translate the museum’s narrative-driven identity into compelling, consistent, and platform-specific content.
The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated understanding of digital engagement, a strong visual and editorial sensibility, and a proven record of developing and executing high-impact social campaigns for major cultural, creative, or entertainment brands. They will ensure that the museum’s social presence is unified, dynamic, and grounded in powerful storytelling—building anticipation for the museum’s opening, deepening audience connection, and expanding the institution’s global reach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop a cohesive, museum-wide social storytelling framework that ensures each platform (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, etc.) expresses a distinct, intentional voice while reinforcing a unified brand identity
    • Create and oversee highly crafted content leveraging narrative-driven storytelling, strong visual language, and culturally relevant digital trends to highlight the museum’s collection, architecture, programs, and mission
    • Lead the planning and execution of multi-platform digital campaigns—program announcements, opening milestones, institutional initiatives—demonstrating proven experience achieving measurable audience growth, engagement, and impact
    • Analyze platform performance and audience insights using social analytics tools, refining strategy to ensure maximum reach, resonance, and ROI
    • Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Curatorial, Retail, Learning, and External Affairs teams to ensure accuracy, creative alignment, and brand coherence
    • Monitor and engage with online communities, ensuring thoughtful, inclusive, and timely interactions that build long-term audience affinity
    • Identify opportunities for content collaborations, influencer partnerships, cross-channel amplification, and user-generated storytelling

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, related field or comparable experience preferred
