Job Title: Social Media Strategist Company: More Than Cars If you can spot a scroll-stopper in the wild and know how to turn it into engagement, we need to talk. More Than Cars is redefining how the retail automotive industry shows up in culture. We’re looking for a Social Media Strategist who can help us create, post, and optimize content that fuels both our agency client campaigns and our own brand channels. This isn’t a “post and hope” role. It’s about bringing smart ideas, creative instincts, and a love of the internet to everything you touch. You’ll work closely with our creative, content, and client teams: sometimes helping a tech company shine in a Facebook campaign, other times drafting captions for our internal LinkedIn, Instagram, or podcast promos. The Gig Is: Execute day-to-day posting across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and what’s next. Write compelling captions, headlines, and micro-content that actually get people to stop scrolling. Support both client campaigns (agency deliverables) and, from time to time, More Than Cars internal channels. Analyze performance weekly and share what’s working (and what isn’t). Edit and repurpose short-form video (cutdowns, reels, remixing) for quick-turn content. Track trends and translate them into usable content ideas for clients and internal teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with account execs, designers, editors, and leadership to align brand voice and performance goals. Provide creative direction to designers and video editors when requesting content. Work with external clients and internal stakeholders to align on strategic goals and content strategy. You Are: Someone who lives on social — not just fluent, but native. A sharp writer who can flex tone between playful, professional, and provocative. Comfortable with basic editing tools like Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut and Adobe Rush. Familiar with scheduling/publishing tools (Planable, Later, Sprout, Buffer, etc.). Analytical enough to know when something is working and not afraid to pivot. Obsessed with creators, culture, and how algorithms actually work. A doer. Fast-moving, decisive, and excited to contribute across projects. Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience and portfolio of work. Sweet Benefits: Employer-contributed health, dental, and vision insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with employer match Unlimited PTO Bleeding edge hardware and software access Occasional travel to industry events Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week within the range of 8am–7pm ET, Monday–Friday.
