Position Overview for the Healthcare Quality & Population Data Analyst: Provides measure selection and data analysis expertise to support healthcare quality and population health initiatives. Participates in the development, documentation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of clinical quality measures. Contributes to the design and development of data warehouses, performance dashboards, and other systems to meet the needs of an integrated healthcare network. Prepares presentations and reports to support quality improvement departments and executive leadership. Collaborates with clinical and administrative partners to identify data sources, develop metrics, and improve data collection methods. Requirements for the Healthcare Quality & Population Data Analyst: Bachelors degree in statistics, economics, finance, business, accounting, science, healthcare, social science, mathematics or any field conducive to critical and analytical thinking skills. 3 years of experience analyzing and reporting healthcare data. 2 years of experience using SQL or Python scripting for database queries. Knowledge of healthcare quality measures for ambulatory, specialty, and inpatient settings (e.g., HEDIS, PQRS, NQF, AHRQ, CMS). Experience with data privacy practices and laws such as HIPAA. Required Work Experience: At minimum two years of progressive data analysis experience; preferably in the Managed Care industry, Medicare Advantage a plus. Experience working with health care claims, membership and revenue data. Comfortable writing queries, reports, and presenting findings as required. Required Computer Skills: Knowledgeable of Microsoft Suite, use of internet and browser functionality. Expertise in MS Excel, with proficiency using formulas, PivotTables, linked worksheets, graphing and other reporting and presentation features. Working knowledge of T-SQL; at minimum ability to write Select statements that include joins, filtering, and aggregation.
