Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down forklift, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and utilizing bar code scanners. Taylor Communications, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the team at our Jeffersonville, IN, facility!

Your Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as required, including some weekends.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inspect packaged items for conformance specifications and verifies paperwork for correct shipment quantity, location, and method.

  • Compare identifying information with bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.

  • Verify that materials received are as ordered.

  • Unload, unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and ma correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

  • Input receiving information into warehouse management system.

  • Will report directly to Receiving Supervisor.

You Must Have:

  • Documented work history of increasing responsibility

  • Strong math aptitude related to units of measure and order quantities.

  • Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down forklift, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers

  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and utilizing bar code scanners.

  • Ability to work independently, problem solving as needed.

Requirements within this position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position

  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials

  • Frequently required to move inside the facility

  • Regularly move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
