How You Will Make an Impact The Field Preventive Maintenance Technician facilitates maintenance and repairs on equipment for its customers. Must be willing to work in all outdoor climates, be on call, and travel to various customers within their designated region. Responsibilities Drain the oil and replace it to manufacturer specifications. Inspect the generator for leaks and potential issues. Install new parts, such as air filters, oil filters, and batteries. Lubricate moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensure the engine is kept clean throughout servicing. Diagnose existing issues and consult with lead mechanics on the team to address the generator issues. Create detailed service reports for customers. Coordinate service dates with lease operators of customer site Maintain reliability and working order of unit fleet. Required to be on call and available 24/7 while on shift. Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job. Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings. Use the correct tools and use them safely. Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor. Abide by all policies and procedures .
