Job Description You will meet your assistant at 6:45 am at the warehouse where you will load the generator into the company vehicle and drive to the customers residence. Ideally jobs are completed within 8 hours, however based on the complexity of certain jobs and when drive time is factored in, some overtime may be required. You will use your electrical knowledge and technical skills to understand blueprints/schematics in order to safely and efficiently install the customer's generator. You will lead by example in a positive manor and mentor/train your assistant to help develop their skill set. Your performance will be assessed based on your ability to complete each job in a safe, timely, accurate manner which meets or exceeds customer expectations. You will use your customer service skills to greet the customer when you get onsite, and you will communicate with them through the project to ensure their satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver excellent customer service. Therefore, attendance and punctuality is also extremely important in this role. The work will be physical, requiring the ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb a ladder, and when applicable dig trench for gas line/wiring. The job may also require running wiring through attic areas. Position: Generator Installation (Residential)
Ideal candidate will have either electrical or gas experience.
$18-$31 per hour depending on experience level
We are seeking a team player with a solid electrical background to install Generac Generators at the customers residence. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that truly values its customers and the contributions of its employees!
Starting rate is based on a variety of factors: electrical experience level, any past generator installation experience, electrical education/certifications, and leadership experience.
Installation Assistants: $18-$21/hour (depending on knowledge, skills, abilities and past electrical or generator installation experience).
Fast Track to Lead: $21-23/hour (past electrical experience would enable someone to train to become a lead within 6 months)
$23-$26/hour- Level 1 lead installer (capable of performing basic to moderate installs)
$25-$28/hour- Level 2 lead installer (capable of performing moderate to semi-complex installs)
$27-$31/hour- Level 3 lead installer (5+ years of electrical leadsperson experience and Journeyman's certification or equivalent knowledge). In depth knowledge of electrical codes. Capable of performing all types of installations (including most complex).
Job Description
You will meet your assistant at 6:45 am at the warehouse where you will load the generator into the company vehicle and drive to the customers residence. Therefore, a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
Ideally jobs are completed within 8 hours, however based on the complexity of certain jobs and when drive time is factored in, some overtime may be required.
  • You will use your electrical knowledge and technical skills to understand blueprints/schematics in order to safely and efficiently install the customer's generator.
  • You will lead by example in a positive manor and mentor/train your assistant to help develop their skill set.
  • Your performance will be assessed based on your ability to complete each job in a safe, timely, accurate manner which meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • You will use your customer service skills to greet the customer when you get onsite, and you will communicate with them through the project to ensure their satisfaction.
  • We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver excellent customer service. Therefore, attendance and punctuality is also extremely important in this role.
The work will be physical, requiring the ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb a ladder, and when applicable dig trench for gas line/wiring. The job may also require running wiring through attic areas. Work will often be performed outdoors, often in hot temperatures.
