The Senior Natural Gas Scheduler - Northeast is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all natural gas scheduling activities across pipelines and local distribution companies (LDCs) within the Northeast market. This includes forecasting and balancing customer demand, managing nominations and confirmations, and optimizing gas flows and storage to minimize imbalances and costs. The senior scheduler serves as a key operational liaison between traders, supply coordinators, counterparties, and customers, ensuring accurate and timely movement of gas. This role also provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior schedulers and contributes to process improvements, system accuracy, and commercial optimization. This role is based out of our corporate office in Portsmouth, NH. Major Duties / Responsibilities Lead the daily scheduling process for the NE region, including forecasting requirements, nominating, confirming, and tracking gas flows on multiple interstate and intrastate pipelines Collaborate with traders to align scheduling activities with trading strategies, supply positions, and market dynamics Monitor and reconcile imbalances, storage positions, and transportation allocations to minimize penalties and optimize financial outcomes Maintain strong working knowledge of operational and tariff rules for all applicable pipelines, storage facilities, and LDCs within the Mid-Continent market Coordinate pipeline and LDC communications related to curtailments, operational flow orders (OFOs), and capacity constraints Enter and validate transaction data in SolArc Natural Gas, Safari, and related systems, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting Verify and approve third-party invoices for gas purchases, sales, transportation, and storage Mentor junior schedulers, providing training, guidance, and oversight on regional procedures and best practices Support system and process improvements, working with IT and operations teams to enhance automation, reporting, and data quality Respond to internal and external inquiries from customers, traders, counterparties, and accounting staff Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Education / Experience / Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a focus in business or math Prior energy industry experience is a plus Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Excel Strong mathematical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and relate to customers, outside contacts and fellow employees. The Plant Operator performs all functions for safely operating a Renewable Natural Gas Facility. This position shares accountability of the day-to-day operations of the site. Operate and monitor the blowers, gas pretreatment, chiller, CO2 removal, N2 removal, O2 removal, compression equipment. Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, and service schedules and equipment outages. Check all operating equipment daily including flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and unusual noises to correct conditions before failure occurs. Perform all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment including oil and filter changes, replacement of drive belts, hoses, valve adjustments, replacement of compressor filters, slide valves, couplings and bearings, as necessary. Participate in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls. Maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant. Keep equipment, plant grounds, and floors looking as presentable as possible. Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. Maintain plant inventory. Respond to call outs in a timely manner. Identify and correct the cause of the call out. If the problem cannot be corrected or diagnosed, it is the responsibility of the lead operator to contact the plant manager to get the help required to fix the situation. Operate the plant with a clear focus on safety. Clean up spills immediately. Make sure all lighting systems are fully functional; no slip or trip hazards are consistently present; and no electrical or mechanical hazards go on for long periods of time without attention. Affirm that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors are following safe work practices. The Senior Natural Gas Scheduler - Northeast is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all natural gas scheduling activities across pipelines and local distribution companies (LDCs) within the Northeast market. This includes forecasting and balancing customer demand, managing nominations and confirmations, and optimizing gas flows and storage to minimize imbalances and costs. The senior scheduler serves as a key operational liaison between traders, supply coordinators, counterparties, and customers, ensuring accurate and timely movement of gas. This role also provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior schedulers and contributes to process improvements, system accuracy, and commercial optimization.

This role is based out of our corporate office in Portsmouth, NH.

Major Duties / Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily scheduling process for the NE region, including forecasting requirements, nominating, confirming, and tracking gas flows on multiple interstate and intrastate pipelines
  • Collaborate with traders to align scheduling activities with trading strategies, supply positions, and market dynamics
  • Monitor and reconcile imbalances, storage positions, and transportation allocations to minimize penalties and optimize financial outcomes
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of operational and tariff rules for all applicable pipelines, storage facilities, and LDCs within the Mid-Continent market
  • Coordinate pipeline and LDC communications related to curtailments, operational flow orders (OFOs), and capacity constraints
  • Enter and validate transaction data in SolArc Natural Gas, Safari, and related systems, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting
  • Verify and approve third-party invoices for gas purchases, sales, transportation, and storage
  • Mentor junior schedulers, providing training, guidance, and oversight on regional procedures and best practices
  • Support system and process improvements, working with IT and operations teams to enhance automation, reporting, and data quality
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries from customers, traders, counterparties, and accounting staff
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Education / Experience / Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in business or math
  • Prior energy industry experience is a plus
  • Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and relate to customers, outside contacts and fellow employees.
