Compensation: $95,000 to $115,000/ year- Depending on Experience The Position Proposition: Primoris Q3 Contracting business unit is searching for an Area Supervisor - to support our Service Lateral Operations in Commerce City and Denver, Metro area in Colorado. The Area Supervisor is responsible for organizing and directing his/her work crew(s) daily to complete the scheduled work on time, safely, and in budget with limited supervision. This position must be able to lead people and take full responsibility for the successful completion of all field operations related to gas meter installation. Efficiently and effectively manage and coordinate assigned work orders Responsible for assuring that crews immediately begin working once they are on the clock Responsible for the quality of work done on the job, assuring that all work performed by the crew(s) meets our quality standards and requirements Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and that the work adheres to construction schedules Perform continuous on-site safety and quality inspections. Must complete at least 3 QC audits on a weekly basis Work to resolve complaints and grievances with the work force as needed documenting the problems and resolution. Suggest personnel actions such as terminations, promotions, etc. to the Area Manager for resolution Accurately record employee time, equipment usage, production quantities, materials and job notes and submit the information in the required timeframe; Maintains a daily journal including the job(s) worked on, weather conditions, and any unusual circumstances that occurred Maintain assigned equipment in good working order and perform field repairs as needed. Coordinate equipment maintenance with the Area Manager and notify him/her of breakdowns and required repairs Schedule equipment to achieve maximum utilization and minimize the need for rentals Determine the sequence and manner in which work will be carried out, consistent with established customer requirements and internal processes and procedures Maintain crew performance at a consistent level within the established schedules Ensure all work performed by company workers meets the highest standards of quality workmanship as defined by the customer and/or the company, whichever is greater Cooperate with other Area Supervisors or Area Managers in transferring equipment, materials, and workers among projects Maintain neat and orderly work areas that are secure from unlawful intrusions and protect the public Communicate and cooperate with the job inspector, Area Manager, General Manager, Operations, Human Resources and Safety Manager on job details and requirements Provide a safe working environment for the crews by following and administering the Company Safety Program. Document and ensure corrective measures are implemented, where applicable Communicate any problems/concerns to the Area Manager Actively communicates with crews, Foremen, and Area Manager as required Actively communicates and handles customer complaints to resolution Other duties as assigned. Educational & Minimum Requirements: Focus on Safety High School Diploma or Equivalent Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. 2-5yrs of Field Foreman or project management experience is preferred Must have Service Lateral/ Underground Utilities knowledge. Knowledge of Gas and Electrical meter installation preferred. Serve as a technical resource for regional business development, client presentations, and customer service support. Balance office-based technical responsibilities with field-based execution, adapting to project phase and client expectations. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline. 5-8 years of experience in engineering or construction operations. Within the utility industry preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple field-based teams with competing priorities while maintaining schedule and budget. Strong understanding of construction procedures, field implementation methods, and material management practices. The Position Proposition:       

Primoris Q3 Contracting business unit is searching for an Area Supervisor- to support our Service Lateral Operations in Commerce City and Denver, Metro area in Colorado.

The Area Supervisor is responsible for organizing and directing his/her work crew(s) daily to complete the scheduled work on time, safely, and in budget with limited supervision.  This position must be able to lead people and take full responsibility for the successful completion of all field operations related to gas meter installation.  

  • Efficiently and effectively manage and coordinate assigned work orders
  • Responsible for assuring that crews immediately begin working once they are on the clock
  • Responsible for the quality of work done on the job, assuring that all work performed by the crew(s) meets our quality standards and requirements
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and that the work adheres to construction schedules
  • Perform continuous on-site safety and quality inspections. Must complete at least 3 QC audits on a weekly basis
  • Work to resolve complaints and grievances with the work force as needed documenting the problems and resolution.
  • Suggest personnel actions such as terminations, promotions, etc. to the Area Manager for resolution
  • Accurately record employee time, equipment usage, production quantities, materials and job notes and submit the information in the required timeframe; Maintains a daily journal including the job(s) worked on, weather conditions, and any unusual circumstances that occurred
  • Maintain assigned equipment in good working order and perform field repairs as needed. Coordinate equipment maintenance with the Area Manager and notify him/her of breakdowns and required repairs
  • Schedule equipment to achieve maximum utilization and minimize the need for rentals
  • Determine the sequence and manner in which work will be carried out, consistent with established customer requirements and internal processes and procedures
  • Maintain crew performance at a consistent level within the established schedules
  • Ensure all work performed by company workers meets the highest standards of quality workmanship as defined by the customer and/or the company, whichever is greater
  • Cooperate with other Area Supervisors or Area Managers in transferring equipment, materials, and workers among projects
  • Maintain neat and orderly work areas that are secure from unlawful intrusions and protect the public
  • Communicate and cooperate with the job inspector, Area Manager, General Manager, Operations, Human Resources and Safety Manager on job details and requirements
  • Provide a safe working environment for the crews by following and administering the Company Safety Program. Document and ensure corrective measures are implemented, where applicable
  • Communicate any problems/concerns to the Area Manager
  • Actively communicates with crews, Foremen, and Area Manager as required
  • Actively communicates and handles customer complaints to resolution
  • Other duties as assigned.
