This role assists with product setup, test execution, data collection, and lab organization to ensure accurate validation of performance, safety, and reliability for development and certification activities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in setting up and testing gas heating products including furnaces, boilers, and water heaters in the Alpharetta R&D Laboratory. Operate test equipment and follow established test procedures to support performance, safety, and reliability evaluations. Work with engineers to collect and organize test data; report observations clearly and promptly. Support preparation for certification testing with CSA, UL, or Intertek/ETL when required. The Gas Combustion Lab Technician supports the testing and evaluation of gas-fired heating products at the LHA Electronics North America Alpharetta R&D Lab. This role assists with product setup, test execution, data collection, and lab organization to ensure accurate validation of performance, safety, and reliability for development and certification activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and testing gas heating products including furnaces, boilers, and water heaters in the Alpharetta R&D Laboratory.
  • Operate test equipment and follow established test procedures to support performance, safety, and reliability evaluations.
  • Work with engineers to collect and organize test data; report observations clearly and promptly.
  • Support preparation for certification testing with CSA, UL, or Intertek/ETL when required.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and follow all gas-handling and combustion safety guidelines.
  • Perform basic maintenance on test fixtures, instrumentation, and lab equipment as needed.
  • Assist in building or modifying simple test setups, fixtures, and duct assemblies under engineer direction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical diploma in HVAC preferred.
