No prior locating experience is needed, but previous industry experience is a plus and will be considered when determining starting pay. Our technicians spend their workdays on the go, independently working in the field using their company-provided vehicle. We use best-in-class ticket and claims management systems to ensure clear and complete mark-out services for the excavator or property owner at the work site. Your Responsibilities as a Locator: Use locating equipment to determine the location of gas lines in a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to prevent damage to utility infrastructure. Some hand digging to unearth gas lines may be required. Develop knowledge and understanding of underground utility infrastructure. Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines. As a technician in our Advanced Gas Operations division, you may locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending upon the project to which you are assigned. These are daytime, full-time positions. We have a 48-hour turnaround time on many locates, which means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends, as needed. Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends), dependent upon the needs of the business. Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs. Micron is seeking a highly skilled Specialty Gas Engineer to lead the design and integration of specialty gas systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role centers on managing third-party design firms to ensure gas delivery systems—handling toxic, pyrophoric, corrosive, and inert gases—meet meticulous safety, performance, and regulatory standards. The engineer will be embedded within the construction engineering team for at least two years, focusing on design oversight, field coordination, and commissioning, before transitioning to the Operations Engineering Group to support ongoing system optimization and fixing. Key Responsibilities Coordinate third-party design firms in the development of specialty gas systems, including bulk gas, VMB/VMP layouts, and point-of-use delivery for hazardous and non-hazardous gases. Review and verify design work such as P&IDs, gas panel schematics, equipment specifications, and system routing to ensure compliance with project requirements and codes (e.g., SEMI S2, NFPA 55, CGA). Conduct technical evaluations of gas system designs, verifying flow capacity, pressure control, material compatibility, and leak integrity. Your Responsibilities as a Locator:

  • Use locating equipment to determine the location of gas lines in a designated area and mark the area with paint and flags to prevent damage to utility infrastructure. Some hand digging to unearth gas lines may be required.

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of underground utility infrastructure.

  • Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines.

  • As a technician in our Advanced Gas Operations division, you may locate other utilities in addition to gas lines, depending upon the project to which you are assigned.

These are daytime, full-time positions. We have a 48-hour turnaround time on many locates, which means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends, as needed. Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends), dependent upon the needs of the business.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

  • Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus.

  • Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

  • Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.

  • Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).

  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.

  • Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.

  • Computer proficiency

  • Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints; possess basic math skill to calculate distances.

  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus.
