Responsibilities Know and stay abreast of design requirements, codes and materials; use expertise to prepare accurate and competitive proposals and contracts. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. Complete a thorough and accurate review of construction documents, including but not limited to: general conditions, schedule, insurance, specification sections, warrant, and bond terms. Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work; preparing bids, selecting vendors, and determining cost effectiveness. Write detailed proposals and negotiate final contract scope. Collaborate with Business Development and Project Managers to decide which jobs to price and who will be responsible for the estimate, the backup, the bid review, and the selling. Communicate with potential bidders to review scope, schedule, and bidding strategies. Analyze and utilize historical job performance data for future bidding. Perform a detailed process of handing off a project and/or client to a Project Manager after a contract is negotiated. Ensure consistency in process of how estimates are completed. What you Bring Previous experience working in a Construction Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager role (commercial roofing or architectural sheet metal background preferred, but those with experience in other scopes of self-performed work will also be considered). Extremely organized, detailed, thorough, and accurate. Skilled communicator, both oral and written. Strong negotiation skills. Proficiency with Excel, Blue Beam, Word, and scheduling software. Role and Responsibilities:

 

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth. With a focus on building relationships, you will engage with potential customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions. You will do…

       1. Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of customer properties, including attics and crawl spaces, and provide creative, tailor-made solutions to address their specific needs.
  • Build rapport with customers and guide them through the available package options using effective communication skills.
  • Guide customers through the entire sales cycle, from presenting and explaining the proposed solutions/quote to successfully closing the deal
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and follow-up needs related to sold projects.

       2. Project Management:

  • Provide accurate project estimates and detailed inspection reports to the operations team in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with crew leaders to review on-going projects, ensuring accurate and complete project information for seamless job operations.

       3. Sales Team Collaboration:

  • Attend sales meetings every morning to strategize with colleagues and managers, share best practices, and support each other in achieving sales objectives.
  • Share industry knowledge, sales tactics, and customer insights to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team.

       4. Business Development (Optional):

  • Represent the company at trade shows to present our services, generate leads, and expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain a network of strategic partners to generate potential clients and enhance business opportunities.

You need to be able to…

  • Safely use an extension ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Safely access confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics with an opening from 16*22 inches to 22*30 inches
  • Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in those confined spaces whiling measuring and taking photos during an inspection (Usually 30-45 mins)
  • Willing to work in different types of weather conditions (could be over 104F)

Job Type: Full-time, not remote

Compensation Range:$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, top sales make above 200k 

Pay Structure: Pay Structure: First 3 month: $4000 + commission; 100% commission (but with a higher commission)
