GENERAL PURPOSE To effectively apply MANTIS methodology in the facility (roof, walls, pavement, and energy) inspection process for Facility Management Solutions projects and to provide quality assurance observation on projects as needed. The primary duty will surround Quality Assurance Observation, but other duties may include roof surveys, pavement surveys, and building envelope surveys. This role is specific to clients in/around Colorado & the Pacific NW, therefore candidates must live in or be willing to self-relocate to one of the following areas: Oregon, Washington, or Colorado Please expect between 60-75% travel locally and/or out of state as needed. PAY RANGE: $30-$40 an hour (depending on experience), plus Per Diem (as dictated by each state/county worked in)* Quality Assurance Observation Liaison between the Owner/Architect and the Roofing Contractor Read, understand, and familiarize with the related contract and the specifications agreed upon by the Client and the Roofing Contractor Inspects the material and confirms correct storage methods Reports accurate progress of the project, confirms correct installation methods and adherence to change orders, and oversees and advises in troubleshooting situations As the roof system is removed confirms the condition of the deck and ensures all necessary deck repairs are completed per the contract. As the system is installed confirms the system is watertight on a nightly basis and the contractor installs undamaged and specified materials Monitors all punch work and inspects the final product in conjunction with a manufactures rep to address any punch items necessary for warranty Safety Adhere to MANTIS safety standards at all times Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as project requires. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES DUTY: Roof Survey Inspect and evaluate roof asset under the direction of a Project Manager/Project Coordinator with consistent accuracy Properly capture section surveys with MANTIS tablet technology Take clear photos (no silhouettes/shadows) of the building, roof, defects, inventory, and perimeter Take perimeter measurements Take GPS data points Identify roof assembly, inventory, and roof defects Identify any hazardous conditions Remove debris from roof to allow for thorough visual evaluation of the entire roof surface Clean and open drains, scuppers, and gutters for inspection of drainage systems Re-attach any loose metal work (flashings, counter-flashings, gutters, and downspouts) and seal for water and air intrusion to check for proper fit and water-tightness during the inspection process Removal of accumulated grease, oil, coolant or any caustic materials present on roof membrane which could cause a safety hazard during the inspection process Collect core samples and repair holes on all commercial roof types As needed, perform minor repairs to prevent leaks Make recommendations based upon inspection Cross training on pavement, building envelope, and energy inspection required as needed. DUTY: Safety Adhere to MANTIS safety standards at all times Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as project requires. Summary: Responsible for installing metal roofing, coping, trims, and other metal roofing products on commercial and residential buildings. Work collaboratively with the flat-roofing department and/or metal panel department as needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Installation of metal roofs-primarily standing seam, copings, caps, trims, flashings, and occasional sheet metal facia and chimney hoods.

  • Comfortable working outdoors, year-round out in the field
  • Has reliable transportation- able to commute to various job sites in the surrounding area
  • Ability to learn and follow our extensive safety policy
  • Pass our background screening and drug test
