Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department*
• Lead and support therapy staff including PTAs, COTAs, and therapists*
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations*
• Manage productivity standards and departmental performance*
• Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams*
• Monitor documentation accuracy and timely completion*
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and therapy program development*
• Maintain high standards for patient outcomes and customer satisfaction*
• Provide mentorship and leadership to rehabilitation staff*
• Support census development and program growth initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active South Dakota PTA or COTA license in good standing*
• Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation leadership experience required*
• Previous Director of Rehabilitation experience strongly preferred*
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred*
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and rehab regulations*
• Excellent communication and organizational skills*
• Proven leadership and team management abilities

Education & Certification Requirements

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA or COTA program*
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant*
• Current CPR/BLS certification*
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
