Job Description
Position Summary: The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization's marketing and communication efforts through content creation, photography, and promotional activities. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and interested in helping share the company's story through various communication channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture and edit photos for company communications, events, and marketing materials.
- Create written content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and other promotional materials.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain and update communication and marketing materials.
- Support the planning and promotion of company events and activities.
- Ensure all communications align with company branding and messaging.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic photography skills and familiarity with photo editing software.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and marketing principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other common computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
