Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays What you can expect: Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for multiple patients. Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles. Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics. Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN. SUMMARY

A Patient Coordinator is trained to act as the first point of contact for our patients where they set the tone for the patient's visit through excellent patient care. This employee will also perform the necessary administrative responsibilities needed to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone). Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
  • Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
  • Practice urgency at all times with patients' time, as well as Doctor's time and schedule
  • Manage patient flow in the office
  • Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments
  • Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
  • General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
  • Desire to gain industry knowledge and training
  • Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
  • Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
  • Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
  • Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum Required: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25-50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity-including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus-is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
