Requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution Valid veterinary license in the state of Kentucky 2+ years of clinical experience About The Pet Wellness Group At PWG, we believe medicine is about relationships-not transactions. Since 2003, we've built a loyal client base by saying "yes" when others say "no." Our patients come to us for gold-standard care, but they stay because we treat them-and their people-like family. With two bright, modern hospitals in Florence and Hebron, each designed with a clean, open layout, separate entrances for cats and dogs, and dedicated exam rooms, we've built something truly special. Each location features three exam rooms, a surgical suite, a dental wet lab, and shared doctor workspaces. We've invested in high-quality tools to support your medicine-including digital dental and full-body radiographs, therapeutic laser, Midmark high-speed dental units, IDEXX in-house lab (Catalyst, ProCyte, SediVue, UA analyzer, Bionote), EKG, and handheld ultrasound. Every anesthetized patient receives full-mouth dental radiographs, and we've recently expanded our diagnostics and lab capabilities. Our team also sees urgent cases, pocket pets (if you're interested), and limited acupuncture services. We prioritize relationships over revenue. Appointments are 30 minutes, and you'll typically see 15 patients per day-enough to stay productive without being overwhelmed. Each DVM has one dedicated surgery day per week, typically performing two dentals and up to four soft tissue procedures. While we offer same-day and urgent care, we carefully manage our caseload to avoid burnout. You'll be supported by a skilled, long-tenured tech team that works to the top of their license, allowing you to focus on doctor responsibilities and complete records between appointments. Our team culture is supportive, drama-free, and collaborative. We meet regularly as a DVM group to review protocols and discuss cases, and everyone is encouraged to bring new ideas to the table. We're not Fear Free certified as a clinic, but we do have Fear Free professionals on staff, and our layout, pheromone therapy, and low-stress handling all reflect those values. Dr. Wilson, our owner and Medical Director, is energized by leadership and has no plans to step back any time soon. While our current schedule requires someone confident working solo two days a week-so we're not accepting new grads at this time-she's deeply invested in mentoring experienced doctors who are looking to grow. If you're someone who's interested in stepping into a leadership role or even exploring future ownership, this could be a great fit-but there's no pressure if that's not your path. Whether you're seeking stability, a modern facility, or a team that truly feels like family, PWG offers a space to thrive and build a meaningful career. We are dedicated to establishing a culture that celebrates all forms of diversity and allows us to be an inclusive service provider in this community.
