Core Schedule: Second shift.  May be asked to work varied shifts within a twenty-four hour/ seven-day-a-week schedule. Role Summary :  Provide therapeutic interactions and supervision of residents.  Facilitate appropriate behavioral interventions with residents, while assuring a safe environment and consistent milieu.  Act as lead counselor on shift.  Provide guidance and instruction on decision making, coping and social skills.  Act as a positive role model to residents and Direct Care Professionals. Complete all required daily, weekly and monthly program related documentation in a professional and proficient manner.  Administer medication, complete necessary documentation, and provide adequate education to clients as required for medication management.  Perform all relevant duties of a Senior Direct Care Professional and a Direct Care Professional. Essential Functions :    Resident Supervision: Milieu supervision of residents and Direct Care Professionals to ensure safety and compliance with program expectations.  This includes ensuring chores, homework, daily hygiene, activities, and outings are completed in a timely fashion and without adverse incident.  Direct Care Professional Leadership:  Act as lead counselor on shift, as evidenced by the provision of leadership, support, and guidance to Direct Care Professional  and Senior Direct Care Professional. Demonstrate a professional demeanor. Ensure new staff are mentored and on-boarded in an approachable and welcoming manner.  Assist the Program Supervisor and Manager in the development of current staff, and ensure employees follow all policies and procedures .  Create a cohesive environment within the department and agency.  Exhibit regular and punctual attendance as a model for other staff members.  Demonstrate flexibility in working days and/or hours that are not their typical schedule, including filling in shifts when needed.  Within departmental parameters, exhibit great customer service, decision-making and problem-solving skills.  Effectively prioritize and coordinate job tasks for maximum productivity. Administrative & Training:  At the discretion of Program Manager will provide on the job training to new and current Direct Care Professionals.  In addition, will provide immediate guidance to cottage staff in Program Supervisor’s and Manager's absence.  Promotes the Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) process by identifying opportunities for improvement.  Relieve second shift staff to take required breaks. Make sure Direct Care Professional  and Direct Care Professional Senior  arrive to work on time, leave on time and that attendance system punches are accurate.  Participate in on-call rotation as required. Treatment Duties: Provide guidance and instruction on decision making, coping and social skills.  Act as a positive role model to residents and other Direct Care Professional.  Provide consistent feedback on strengths and weaknesses in an effort to improve therapeutic milieu.  Meet with residents regularly to establish goals within milieu.  Aid residents in learning behavioral expectations of program, and making positive choices in order to earn privileges and be successful in program.   Communicate any concerns regarding resident progress or safety to appropriate supervisor/manager. Provide Behavioral Management:  Including praise, natural consequences, education, de-escalation and Safe Crisis Management as necessary for out-of-control clients.  Facility : Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functioning of cottage areas, office, and equipment.  Weekly inspection of apartments and documentation. Documentation : Complete all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.  Review of daily MAR logs to ensure compliance and progress logs to ensure completion. Assist in the completion of 1294B and ALP documentation.  Review that shift notes are being competed by staff as required. Medication Administration :  Administer medication, complete necessary documentation, and provide adequate education to clients as required for medication management. Meetings & Training : Attend and provide input to team meetings, and monthly trainings.  Maintain certification in SCM.  Complete required 40 hours of training annually.  Participate in campus PQI through attendance and input.  Attends and participates in administrative/staff/committee meetings/trainings as required and assigned by agency. Operational Tasks: Complete tasks essential to program operations.  These tasks include, but are not limited to, purchasing supplies, helping clients shop for clothing and assisting with activities.  Operate agency vehicles when necessary.  Track and manage use of agency vehicles by staff members. Unplanned Activities : At BGH, we value teamwork.  To meet departmental and organizational goals, the employee is expected to assist with activities that are not formal parts of the role’s essential functions. Qualifications :   Education -  High School Diploma or equivalent.  BA/BS in human services preferred.  Certification in SCM, CPR, First Aid   Experience/Credentials – At least 2-years experience in human services, preferably in a Residential or similar work environment.  Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, including proficiency with appropriate computer software/hardware (i.e., Windows, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word and other relevant software/hardware).   Other - Interact professionally with BGH employees, clients, visitors, government agencies and the general public.  Maintain confidentiality of all client information.  Must be at least 21 years of age and legally able to work in U.S.  Valid driver’s license and insurability by BGH’s insurance carrier required if expected to transport clients and/or use company vehicles.  Successful completion of all background screenings and pre-employment drug screen.  Successful negative, post-contingent offer and annual TB screenings.  Must have ability to self-monitor and maintain objectivity.  Must set professional boundaries with residents.  Ability to prioritize tasks, organize and meet deadlines. Physical Demands :  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: stand, walk and sit; use hands to manually manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Ability to read, write and converse in English. Work Environment:   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  At times, this level may be increased.  The work environment is fast-paced and active.  The employee may engage in multiple activities during a given shift.  Employees work with children and youth who may show intense and unpredictable behaviors with possibility of verbal and physical aggression.  Employees may be at high risk of injury in the work environment including, but not limited to, receiving: bites, cuts, kicks, punches, being spit on and the like.  This is a f ast-paced work environment with a need for quick decisions to deal with any crisis that may arise.  General Acknowledgment : The employee is expected to adhere to and to act as a role model in the adherence to all BGH policies, procedures and performance expectations. PURPOSE:  Assist in the development and implementation of Quality Procedures, related to Suppliers, in compliance with the IATF 16949 Quality System Standard. I nterpretation of established Customer and internal product quality standards to Suppliers. Participate in and/or coordinate APQP activities. Ensure implementation of necessary procedures and work instructions to meet requirements of Quality System. Affect processes when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in and/or coordinate internal APQP activities, including development of schedules and status reports. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, and Purchasing to provide all documents and tests per internal and Customer requirements. Coordinate check fixture and gage development with Suppliers. Provide supplier support as needed. Coordinate Supplier PP AP Submissions per internal and Customer requirements and maintain status reports per Supplier Management Manual. Maintain supplier PPAP Submission files. Alert management of any schedule concerns. Assure the PPAP Approvals, or Interim Approvals, are communicated per applicable procedures to all affected departments. Provide requested information to Quality Engineers regarding PPAP. Participate in MRB meetings as assigned per procedures. Assist in maintenance of receiving Inspection sampling plans based on part histories. Assist Receiving Inspection in QPR issuance, Supplier contact, and follow up. Coordinate in processing of QPR's internally, including any sorting, rework, returns, and applicable chargebacks to suppliers. Monitor and follow up Supplier corrective actions, including Supplier visits. Maintain Supplier history reports per internal QOS and Supplier Management Manual. Assist in coordination of Corrective Action System (CAS). Participate in and/or coordinate CIA activities as assigned. Provide quality support as in regards to Supplier Quality issues Communicate supplier quality concerns to applicable departments Maintenance of receiving inspection instructions per Control Plan requirements and applicable procedures. Process potential and capability studies as needed. Monthly activity reports Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. CQE, CQA, or 4 year degree (or willingness to obtain within one year). Minimum 2 years automotive experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: Stampings is the main commodity and a must have skill Familiar with IA TF 16949 Quality System requirements. Experienced in problem solving and reporting (i.e., 8-0, PR/R, QR, etc.). Computer literate. Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T Experience in Internal or External System Auditing Metrology (CMM, gage calibration, measuring systems, etc.) Experience in advanced quality planning Good communication skills, both oral and written. Team player. Self-motivated. The conduct of each crew member should be professional and courteous. Maintain all vehicles in compliance with departmental preventive maintenance policies. Do not allow unsafe conditions to exist on the vehicles. Vehicles should be washed and cleaned weekly. Operate all vehicles in a safe manner.
